it made me cry so hard, literly sobbing

The Cleaner is a sweet but dark story about the end of the world, and how characters (in different situations) react to it. Its plot might not blow you away, but the main characters are enjoyable to follow. The text is at times a bit awkward and has some grammatical issues, but it succeeds at getting its points across - whether you click with them or not. The art and music have a nice style, and help set that chill mood (even at the end of the world, cleaning up after dead people!) - although there is some AI-generated art, if that's something that will put you off (since it doesn't mention this on the main page). Rather than a blanket recommendation, I would say it's for anyone who wants a pensive, quiet evening, using mundane activities to reflect on our connections to other people.
This is a game set in a depressing world where most of the population is dead. The setting and somewhat grim task of the game play, which is constantly and aggressively interrupted by the M/M tragic romance. its 10% game, 90% the other. if your not into that, skip.
yes
I should be the target audience for this. I love visual novels, (which, despite the screenshots, this very much is), I love gay games, I actively want to support more queer-media, and I -love love love- a dreary, spooky, post apocalyptic setting. I was honestly pumped to jump into this. But, I am of the opinion that if you're going to tackle a narrative game, however small, one of the things that needs to be at its tightest is the writing. Unfortunately, whatever happened with the script of this is just... not good. Within the first five minutes you get stuff like: "As long as he could feel what dreams where like," ("where" instead of "were") "You get a point, hey." (Instead of "Hey, you got a point!") Between spelling/grammar errors and just overall clumsy writing, it almost reads like it's translated from a different language. Its such a shame because I think the work on the visual side is nice, and almost perfect for what I thought this game was going to be. I am still excited about future projects from the developer because I think there's good ideas represented here and the world needs more gay game devs, but this was an instant miss for me.
YES - interesting story , nice art style , funny cleaning elements even if repetitive NO - save system is bad (press V) , no backlog , no auto skip if you replay NEUTRAL - very small honest price
bought it because i love cleaning games, did not expect to cry at the end because of the story :') really good story, and the cleaning minigames are fun! can't suggest it enough! especially for the price, definitely worth it.
Nice game, interesting setting, but if you want to play it bear in mind that it's more of a visual novel than a typical rpg maker game like the witch's house or mad father. Still, I enjoyed it, it was very relaxing besides the heartbreaking ending...
i just came 20 times and this game taught me how to clean it up i just gotta do a quick time event 10/10 will skip through the lore again
