Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 34.14/day in the week to Aug 18 → 45.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
KCD was an incredible experience. I do not think I have ever played a medieval RPG, so it is some breath of fresh air that Warhorse studio was able to make such a piece - the overall vibe is of a fantasy game, but it has very little to no magic in it. Of course, some will say that the story is pretentious, but I think we deserve a good pretentious story in a new setting. In addition, I did fall into side quest swamp a couple of times, but the comeback of the main story was very emotional after that and I rarely feel that drive towards the story in games nowadays. When it comes to gameplay, I feel like they managed to integrate both good old aspects of RPG games with some new mechanics, which make you want to explore this game every time you run it. It is quite specific however, and it took me a couple of tries to fully understand it. There are some bugs and you have to get used to the style. but I'd say if you like RPGs and you were craving for some medieval game - buy it, it's absolutely worth your time and money. Some may say you will be disappointed, but I certainly wasn't. And please, try it with the Czech dub, it's so much more immersive.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game is nothing short of incredible. The atmosphere and immersion is unmatched and the writing and performances are (mostly) top notch. As seen from other reviews it's not for those who expect the protagonist to be a superhero from the start - yes, you start out really weak, but the sense of progression is actually great, you can get really good at anything you spend time doing. Combat is unforgiving at at the start, gets trivial by the end. Your skills and choices actually matter, which is rare in an RPG even today. The only negative I can think of is the really rough performance, but modern hardware (with a few mods) should be able to handle it just fine. And when you max out the graphics this game still looks jaw-dropping.

DLC ruins the game
I really needed to learn to love this game. The first hours are quite perplexing to me. Somehow they manage to be both mind numbingly slow and feel rushed. You basically get two seperate tutorials and in between the game blasts you with exposition. KCDs pacing in the early hours is a giant mess and really turned me off. But if you manage to stick it out for the first hours, you will be rewarded with a truly unique and atmospheric open world RPG. KCD is immensly immersive and manages to keep its quests varied and fun without any supernatural elements. The story and open world both have a smaller scope compared to other game of this genre and I love that. The world isn't in danger, it's just people fighting over land and being ♥♥♥♥♥ about it. It is refreshing to play an RPG without a world-ending catastrophy. The combat system has great ideas, it seems to pick up some inspiration from Mount & Blade with the directional swordplay. You need a few fights to get the hang of it, but when it clicks, it is quite fun. Sadly the Devs messed it up in the late-game. This form of auto-focus, directional fighting is great for duels, but it absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥ the bed in group fights. Once you get decent armor you stop caring, but until then group fights are more so a fight with the controls than the enemy. But even duels manage to suck quite a bit in the later game because of the perfect counter. This is a block with an automatic counter-attack. BUT you can't control it. It just happens whenever it feels like it. Your blocks will just randomly become perfect blocks. This breaks the combat system in half, because enemies get this too. So they can just be lucky and punish you for doing nothing wrong. Until enemies get the perfect counter, fights are about managing stamina, finding an opening and rushing them down with strikes once you got your opening. After getting the perfect counter you are actively punished for exploiting an enemies weakness with attacks, because they can just randomly perfect counter you. The safest and best way to play is just to play defensive and wait for your own perfect counter. This is boring and incredibly unrewarding. During my roughly 60 hours with the game I did all major quests and DLCs. While playing I encountered 3 bugs that halted my progress and needed workarounds from the forums. All those bugs have been known for years and remain unadressed. That is Bethesda behaviour and I won't stand for it. All in all KCD is an incredibly atmospheric, well told RPG that is held back by some jank and a few bad design decisions. But there can be no doubt that the good outweighs the bad. Therefore I can confidently recommend this RPG. Even though it took me far too long to get on the KCD hype-train myself :D
i really didn't want to leave a bad review but holy hell I've been plagued by nothing but issues i keep getting dx device hung errors and it makes my pc bluescreen i had to undo my gpu undervolt to get the game to play for a while which mind you works on any other game fine and works with the second one too but this game has NOTHING BUT ISSUES As much i like the game I cant put up with this anymore and i feel like this needs to be said tried everything i can to no avail and my pc is no joke ether
