This game has most frustrating choices, especially with the boss design. Each boss being able to blow you away with a gust of air isn't a good mechanic. The final boss also just isn't a fun time because of the air making him take longer to beat. There is also a problem with the different forms because how fast you use up the special meter and how useless they are, you probably won't use them at all at the end of the game. While I was able to beat this game, it made me very upset because there is a good game underneath it all, however the bugs I encountered along side some game design choices made the experience rougher than it could have been. Removing the air mechanic would greatly improve the game in my opinion.
once i unlocked the bike combo this got really fun and fast

definitely not a perfect game. it has it flaws but as a indie hack and slash id recomend if your a fan of kamen rider and games like metal gear rising. the wolf scream cc does need to be nerfed though
This game is pretty bad. Says a lot that the second it got released it comes with a discount. Needs another year minimum to be something decent.
Honestly, I really like the skeleton of this game. I think it needs polish, but I think there is really something special here and I would love to see how this game evolves over time. As a long time Toku fan wanting more Toku games and a huge CAG fan, I personally can't pass this one up but I would recommend it but you're going to have to forgive some major issues. It's not unplayable, but it really needs some work. While I understand this is the passion project of one dude, I really love the creativity on display here and I want to support this game to see it get the updates it deserves. Here are a few things I personally found in my time with the game. The character designs and the overall gameplay are really cool, especially after you get access to super moves. The voice acting is pretty decent and the love for Tokusatsu is clearly there and understood by the developer, that's what originally drew me to this game in the first place. The gameplay is very confusing at first and the visuals are a little muddy. Art style wise everything kind of bleeds together. I think the realistic models with the cartoon filter are a little off putting but it's not a dealbreaker, I just think a full cell shaded art style would do this game some major favors in the visual department but I'm not asking for a complete visual overhaul, just a personal preference. My number one gripe with the game is how there is very little feedback when attacking enemies, it just feels like my blade is passing through them instead of hitting them. Maybe a vibrate addition for smaller attacks might help. Though I do think the different attack types like Critical, Break, Counter, etc are a nice way to add some sort of attack feedback and feel very satisfying to use. I do wish the use of these was a little more clear visually and timing wise, especially the Counter, it just feels so awkward but when you land it it's very satisfying. Ultimately I don't feel like I have a lot of control over my character like I would in a traditional CAG, it just all seems kinda random. Maybe I just need to put more time in. Also, we gotta talk about sound. The sound settings are absolutely everywhere and good sound is definitely one of the major aspects to a good action game. The attacks and motorcycle sounds lack that hard hitting quality, (I don't know if the '71 Kamen Rider Bike sound is copyrighted but you should find out and make that the revving sound) One music track throughout the entire time I've played is really grating, like it's a cool track don't get me wrong but more music, better game. I switched it to the Kamen Rider Geats OST for vibes and the game improves a TON. I know getting the rights to music and making it can be very time consuming and expensive but I swear getting more music in the game should be a priority, even royalty free as a placeholder, that's how important it is. Also there is no ambient sound whatsoever and the enemies don't make much sound either it really takes the impact out of the environment and world. Like flame sounds, crowd sounds, sirens, even some wind would really lend a hand to the immersion. There should be health pick ups somewhere within the level, or like getting health back for fighting stylishly or killing enemies with certain types of finishers/crits etc maybe this changes later on but I don't know. Finally the settings in the menu reset and do not stay static between pauses. Idk if that's a crazy bug but my settings are different I open the menu and once you beat a level or boss they reset. I'm not going to refund and I'm gonna keep coming back for every update. This game is awesome, and I really see the talent on display here, and I think a few fundamental fixes and continued updates and you have a cult classic on your hands. If you read this, I appreciate your hard work and dedication to this project, OmegaMech, sorry if this critique seems a little harsh but I really think you've got something here and I want to play the game that these trailers got me super hype for. - Haya
It's been some time since i wanted a new kamen rider/tokusatsu themed game, this game is one, but sadly i can't recommend it for now, i can clearly see the passion of the developper, but the game just isn't there just yet for me, i understand this is a solo dev job, but i will await further improvement
THIS GAME SUCK No button remap No frame rate limit Cool combat tho Also, why the character said Henshin, it so cliche. Like, the character is speaking English, there is no reason to say that, why can we just make some thing up like Armorize or Suit Up to better fit the story. Also, are you want to be copyright by TOEI
this game feels too simple its not interesting it might change later down the line but currently the combat feels too simple and it does not feel good to play it feels cheap too cheap and despite it being early access the potential of it getting better does not interest me since what it has on display is not worth any kind of money currently. Edit: this game is still too early to even feel functional most sounds in general are off sync and the visual basic and buggy. The UI looks low quality and adding a style meter that doesn't really matter because it doesn't really incentivize creative play since as stated previously the combat in its most basic form does not feel fun to play with.
This game is the lovechild of Kamen Rider, Devil May Cry, and a few other things. The animations are fluid, the style is on point, and the creator's work as an animator on youtube flows through easily, even if it isn't triple A level quality. However, the game still has plenty of faults which can put people off, but they mainly show themselves in the Desert, Sewers, and the Haunted City sections. The main problem that I've been having in my playthrough is that the enemies SPAM yellow attacks while keeping red attacks to a minimum in comparison. While I can see the thought process, sometimes the attacks are so large, and there are so many spamming yellow attacks at once that despite using a heavy attack, you still get hit and comboed into almost death, EXPECIALLY IN THE SEWERS. I would also like to say that the main character I played is Rei, so I don't really know what the other characters play like, but I could tell that there were some abilities that I didn't know how to use, and this leads me to wondering what abilities I have that the game just doesn't tell me, like how you can double click heavy midair to do a spinning launch to travel at enemies while midair. Next, while this is mainly personal preference as a Kamen Rider fan, I'd much rather see the two transformations changed up a bit, and while I can see the vision, I'd probably want to see a moveset overhaul as the Yellow form seems a bit lacking despite having more to offer than the Green Form and the Green form seems to only have one button, which the game doesn't say if it's true or not, so I have to just assume it is. The Ultimate and Assists are great, but I'd also probably rather change the Transformations to use another bar as opposed to draining the Skill Gauge, making it way more rewarding to use them as opposed to having to choose between a lackluster form swap, an Instant horde clear with a sick cutscene or added assistance in fights. Finally, I had just finished up the Onryo boss fight, and I didn't understand it at first, I would probably want some added indication that parrying the green is the right thing to do, maybe lower her damage in the first phase, and make the boss cutscenes skippable, expecially the Onryo's intro and the Pharoh's Transition into their mecha form. Despite it's flaws however, I really like the game, and feel like it still has a lot of potential. The work the Creator has put in for those patches is astounding and I hope to see more updates to make it the perfect unofficial Kamen Rider game... Also, if this isn't in the game yet, we absolutely need to give ALL the characters a final form, be it Rei with a brand new attachment for his Driver, the wolf dude getting a Kaijin like transformation, or the Pharoh getting her own Mech form like the boss did.
Although its rough, I had a lot of fun with it! The storyline and the way the character's backstories (and the backstories themselves) are presented is really fun and welldone. I also like all the funny references to memes and other media. This is a very creative and fun spin on Kamen Rider and the tokusatsu genre. Also, its awesome that the creator is taking everyone's criticisms and suggestions to make the game better, I definitely think it has improved a lot since launch. Kijutsu Rider 2 when???
