Silent Descent

Até que eu achei um jogo interessante, bem feito e bem trabalhado. I enjoyed this game, yes it gets bad reviews because its very much like P.T but this is done really well, if you liked P.T you will love this, some very creepy bits in with excellent music and very good framerate, graphics are quite good too, not quite P.T but a very good crack at it - 8/10 :-)

a good horror game. can recommend it. some scary moments. some good puzzles. the price of this game is in offer for -80% like a gift.

Silent Descent is a fairly basic Unity kitbashed first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. In fairness a small amount of effort was put into trying to turn what are almost certainly other people's Unity assets into a "game"... a completely awful one. Basically a ripoff of Kojima's Silent Hill teaser, "P.T."... you walk down the same badly arranged "house" corridor (no house is laid out like that) and find hidden stuff etc every time you walk down it. Like Groundhog Day, but unfunny and completely crap. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. The other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, we quickly find they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Silent Descent". Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at around 1440p, there's no support for the state-of-the-art 4K or higher resolutions. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. The game assets, such as they are, are much higher than the general quality of the game and it seems apparent the developer has just plagiarised/kitbashed them. Stock assets are just there to be used as placeholders while the developer creates their own assets for their games, but what happens far more often is lazy/unethical developers just throw a bunch of other peoples assets into a blender and put their own name on the horrible Frankenstein's Monster that results. Like this mess. This hasn't been updated in 9 years and feels like it's still in Early Access. Developer wants your money anyway! Those technical issues put this game beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was [b]only 8 players[/b]. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 175,000+ games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. On to pricing and the question of value. Should you buy this asset flip? Is this one of the best of the 175,000+ products on Steam? Absolutely not. Silent Descent has the ridiculous, laughable price of around $9 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. For comparison, the $9 asking price for this game could get you games like "Far Cry 5", "Mass Effect Trilogy Pack" or "Grand Theft Auto V". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. The quality problems and defects with this game makes the asking price totally unrealistic.

Es gibt selten Spiele, bei denen ich vor Schreck zusammen zucke, aber bei diesem auf jeden Fall! Ist zwar schnell durchgespielt aber für den Preis ist es auch ok. Grusel-Faktor ist jedenfalls sehr hoch. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

I have walked through the same door three times, and I was teleported to the same initial room. Third time the door was locked. There was nothing else to do. I don't remember how much I paid for this "game". But if this is not for free, please don't pay a cent for it.

Game pictures are misleading. This game is very bad with hardly anything to do and you repeat going through a few of the same rooms over and over many times with just a few things different in each. Don't play this unless its free or maybe under a $1. This game isn't one you would keep installed after playing it. Absolutely do not buy this for 8.99 that's mind blowing its listed for that price. I paid I think $3.49 on a steam sale and feel ripped off.
