Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Love retro, lightweight football sims?
Want something nostalgic yet portable?
Prefer fun and speed over depth and detail?
If you’re after a fast, nostalgic, football management fix with bite-sized tension and strategy — then this is the football management sim for you!
Classic simplicity with subtle depth: Manage your club across four divisions, with promotion, relegation, domestic cups, and European cup competitions. There's a transfer market, tactics to set, player fitness-wise decisions, and club finances to balance — all designed to be quick to learn but hard to put down.
Match highlights: Stylised, text and graphic match highlights reminiscent of the original 8-bit title. It’s charming, easy to follow, and still engaging.
Customisation & roster controls: Rename teams, edit kits, or retitle players. Player ratings consist of skill, fitness, and age. Aged out players retire or decline, while younger talent can improve season by season.
Strategic decisions: Purchase loans to fund signings, manage morale boosts (twice per season to lift spirit), bid on players with risk/reward valuation, and navigate transfer valuations that fluctuate with division status.
Remade and re-released for 2025, the godfather of football management games is back with Kevin Toms Football Star Manager. This faithful recreation of Kevin Toms' groundbreaking Football Manager (1982) breathes new life into the retro classic with modernised improvements to recapture the footy magic of the 80s.

hmmmm, loved playing a variation of this years ago on my Acorn Electron. Unfortunately this appears to be a complete hacked mess - no alignment of text or data on any of the screens.... seriously? It looks a very lazy hack port done by a high school kid... Poor UI - come on
Still better than other Manager Sims 44 years later! Well Done Kevin : )
Old Skool football management game from the 80s i think and yes im old lol :) bringing back memories solid 7.5/10

Very old school
Download an emulator and a ROM for the best experience. I refunded this after an hour (25% off in sale). Feels like a lazy port. Hopefully KT changes a lot in this. I went Newcastle and won in the cup and in the results section, it showed as if I'd been beaten by another team. Hasn't kept much of the charm of the original which I still enjoy.
Alright ngl currently in 1985 (Season 4) won the FA Cup and have a decent team.
A very pleasant trip down memory lane! Even the names of the old players brings a smile. A nice, simple way to while away a few hours...
FM for lazy people...I love it!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing the original football manager game by Kevin Toms on my ZX Spectrum in the 1980s. This version is fairly similar overall, with slightly better graphics and some gameplay improvements. Unlike most modern football manager games, it's not too complicated, and you can select your squad and play matches quickly. The excitement watching your matches and hopefully score a few goals is still there!
