Its bigger, its better and its a true sequel. I played this pretty much in one loooong sitting. Playing and finishing the first one while not mandatory to finish the game is still very much strongly recommended. Great voice acting, many more locations and an interesting mystery to solve. The puzzles are slightly less tough then the first game, but still there are some true stumpers, but they are never unfair or unlogical. It pays to pay attention. Very much hope for a sequel, but considering the dev time from the first to the second, it may be a good long while. Hope i remember this gem until then, because i very much got my moneys worth. If u like classic adventure games, its a must buy. If you like detective and murder mysteries in general, give it a shot.
Lovingly put together and a joy to play from start to end. Love the artwork and attention to detail in every aspect of the gameplay. Rounded characters and lots of intruigue in the plot. OVerall made me happy throughout the playtime.
Ok click and point adventure. Pretty linear.
Love Kathy's sass and attitude. I really like the new puzzles, and tapping into Kathy's problem solving skills. Highly recommend!
This sequel holds the same heart and soul of the first game with even more stakes. Kathy Rain is now a private investigator in 1998 during a mass investigation into a serial killer The Soothsayer. I highly recommend playing Kathy Rain before since aspects of the story link so heavily. Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer is a great sequel. It improves upon every aspect. Arielle Siegel (Kathy Rain) returns as does Shelly Shenoy (Eileen Summers) and Matthew Cohn (redacted for spoilers). The performances are fantastic, the music becomes an ear worm, and you’ll be laughing, crying, and probably a bit scared. Enjoy the ride!
this game is great, its everything we had in the original and more, while also fixing some of those small problems, quick tip, if youre back tracking, double click on the exit of the stage to teleport there, i dont remember if that was a feature in the original but i thought it was cool. one major thing i want to give props to is the voice acting, it was good in the original, especially with characters such as
The Crimson One
but in this game there were so many good performances, my personal favourite was
The Old God, but Kathy's mother was also phenomenal
all and all, its worth a buy
gute Fortsetzung - macht Spaß, interessante Story
This game is great. Played bit by bit over the course of several days and had a wonderful time. There is a lot of content here. Everyone that made comments about the level of detail in their comments is VERY spot on. The pixel graphics are excellent and they thought of little things here and there that impressed me. I also REALLY appreciated that EVERY-SINGLE-PUZZLE made absolute sense and was very logical solve. That's rare! If you enjoy classic point and click adventures then this is one you have to try. A terrific sequel.
Brilliant Game! Loved the graphics, found the puzzles clever, without getting irritating. Great story, great characters. Wish there were more in the series to play
