Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Excellent story line and a game with puzzles THAT MAKE SENSE. There's so many games out there with absolutely terribly thought-out puzzles that never make sense without a guide. The story and puzzles here were very well written and developed. Even the dialogue did not feel like a drag to read through. Well worth the time and money spent on this game. Now I have to play the first one!
A role model for what a modern point and click should be.
It certainly wasn't better than the first Kathy Rain game, but it was good enough. The storyline itself was interesting enough but it felt like it was lacking in certain areas - characters could have been fleshed out more, there could have been more sequences with the puzzles, and overall, the ending felt...lackluster. But was it still fun? Yes.

This sequel holds the same heart and soul of the first game with even more stakes. Kathy Rain is now a private investigator in 1998 during a mass investigation into a serial killer The Soothsayer. I highly recommend playing Kathy Rain before since aspects of the story link so heavily. Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer is a great sequel. It improves upon every aspect. Arielle Siegel (Kathy Rain) returns as does Shelly Shenoy (Eileen Summers) and Matthew Cohn (redacted for spoilers). The performances are fantastic, the music becomes an ear worm, and you’ll be laughing, crying, and probably a bit scared. Enjoy the ride!
Nice game, i enjoyed it but there was a few hiccups along the way but good over all.
I would say it's just more Gabriel Knight-ish goodness. When's Kathy Rain 3 coming out?
The first one was good, this one was even better. I can't get over how gorgeous the art is. The puzzles are fun, the detective work is fun, really flexing the limits of the genre.
Not a bad game. Graphics were an improvement from last game. Voice acting was good. I felt the story line was fine but the first game was better. Would get the sequel if it comes out.
Me encanto la historia y los personajes, muy buen misterio y un cierre satisfactorio. Fue un gusto acompañar a Kathy en otro misterio. 100% recomendado para los amantes del point and click.
