Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game runs at 30 FPS, but the animations run at 240 FPS.
Funny and original. Katamary has a simple gameplay that is immediately enjoyable. It's simplicity is its strength, and it works combined to its originality as there is no other game like it (except its sequels). The true asset of the game, though, is the fact it allows one to fulfil this strange fantasy of collecting/destroying the whole world. From the buttons lost in a tiny living room to tornadoes and islands over the ocean, you'll be able to stick to your ball every imaginable thing from daily life. The changes in scales depend on the levels and you'll be able to start smaller or bigger and end likewise depending on essentially 3 different "worlds": the house, the city, the "world" (more like Japan or some kind of archipelago). However, the game has galring flaws. It can be surprisingly difficult somewhat. Not in terms of objectives since those are relatively permissive, but in the gameplay itself. Sometimes picking a specific object will be tough, sometimes a bunch of characters will attack you and bump into your katamari in a ruthless agression that will leave you discombobulated and your katamari diminished. And let's not forget those bear and cow levels where thankfully you cna pick any goal and you'll win, but woe betides if you dare aim for a higher score on these... it's hell! Weirdly enough due to the non-competitive aspect of the game, it proved to be frustrating sometimes. Controls don't help this, and I seriously advise you to forego the default controls and go for simple controls (if you're playing with a controller, that is, I did not try playing with a keyboard, thanks mercy...) Another flaw is both the duration and lack of diversity. There are only five different types of level: - Make a Star levels (this includes the final moon level as well): you have a limit of time to roll your katamari to gather enough objects for it to reach a specific size. - One Kind Constellations: Looks like a Star level but the goal is to gather as much items as possible from a specific kind of items, like crowns for example, or swans. All other items you gather give you more size but don't count toward the score and they thus don't matter except for the fact that they help you get bigger items of the desired kind. - One Item Constellations: HORRIBLE levels. Thankfully you're not REQUIRED to make a big score, but it's frustrating to have to accept such a low score, and the gifts are difficult to get in these levels because of their gameplay. Basically, the opposite of the previous one: one kind of items sought, but the first you pick and the level ends. The goal being to manage to grow to a seizable size by picking no items of the sought category so to be able to pick the biggest in the end. This is horrendously difficult because there's like a TON of items of the sought kind, EVERYWHERE, including hidden in pernicious places! You'll be feeling like you're playing some kind of landmine or bullet hell game suddenly! Original, but unfair and difficult (in a way...). - Precise size: There is only 1 level like this. The goal is to reach a precise size and not go too low or too high. The trick is that you're shown what the Katamari will look like in size once it's reached at the start of the level, but during the latter, the usual size counter will be gone, leaving you to guess your current size and choose to end the level by yourself. A bit tricky, but definitely feasible.

9/10.
this game makes me feel really happy and cheers me up when i am sad
