We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie

This game was reintroduced to me by my dad, I had completely forgotten about it and then he helped me remember it. This game has a very special place in my heart despite me not having the best relationship with my dad. It makes me happy and it oddly has that feeling where you just can not stop playing. Overall, it's a fun game to pass the time. As well as to simply have a game to enjoy and admire. PLAY THIS GAME!! IT'S AWESOME

The general concept of the game seems fun: roll a ball around an environment sticking more and more things to it and continue to grow in scale. But at every turn the game sabotages the ability to enjoy it. First are some the worst tank controls I've experienced in any game ever. This alone makes the game a hard no. Stages seem often laid out so that you really have to know where to go to collect items most efficiently (too big and you collect nothing, too small and you waste your time not growing fast enough). For a lot of the game, this matters none because the bar is set so low that you can just wander until you complete the objective (generally reach a certain size in a certain amount of time). But then it does matter a lot on some levels, and you'll probably have to play through at least once just to figure out the route. This becomes especially pernicious on the fire level where you're a ball of fire that can go out so you have to keep rolling over items to keep the fire going. They could've littered the stage with items of all sizes between your route and your final destination (lighting a bonfire), but they didn't do that. So you get to repeatedly fail at making it to the destination just because you didn't know where all the rightly sized objects were for you to roll over and stay alight. There is no indication of what items you're eligible to roll over at a given size; you just have to intuit it. And again, early on and quite often this is not of issue until it is. On one level you have to collect countries off of Earth before an asteroid strikes. Only there is no visual indication of what you can collect. Individual countries aren't indicated. You just roll over the globe repeatedly hoping you suck up the right-sized countries that you can't see. Every bit of dialogue between levels in this game is an absolute waste of space. It's just listening to babble before you play the next stage. The objective can be stated in one sentence in every case, but instead we get to listen to ramblings of a moron king. And many levels that are fun are incredibly short. I'd say nearly all felt like they ended prematurely. Maybe if I stuck withe game and put up with the issues above I would learn the best route and be able to grow my ball very fast, but I don't have the patience for such poor game design. For years, I had wanted to play a good port of this game on PC. I always wondered why a game with such a seemingly fun-sounding concept wasn't more popular. And it's because this game's terrible implementation of an actually fun idea has sucked all the air out of the room. The room for improvement here is larger than any single stage in this game. Absolutely do not buy unless you're forced to under duress.

roll ball, get big, be happy (∩˃o˂∩) ive played damacy reroll on my xbox for a bit and i loved that but this is my first time playing W♡K and im rlly enjoying it!!! this one feels a little more laid-back, i like it also the soundtrack for these games r an easy 10/10 ♪〜

Si nunca jugaste al Katamari Damacy esta secuela bien sirve para empezar y conocer uno de los juegos más emblemáticos, simpáticos, y originales de los últimos tiempos. La mecánica es simple: tenés una pelotita que vas haciendo rodar por ahí y todo lo que toca, y sea más pequeño que ella, se le queda pegado. Y así vas haciendo la pelota cada vez más y más grande, juntando de todo: desde hormigas y gente, pasando por edificios, países enteros, y hasta planetas! Dicho así parece simple y aburrido, pero puede llegar a ser sorprendentemente divertido y hasta complicado (especialmente en ciertas misiones donde sólo tenemos que centrarnos en ciertos tipos de objetos o vamos contra un reloj tirano). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752304096 En cambio, si ya conocés la saga, sabé que esta entrega no es más que más de lo mismo (salvo por un par de cositas nuevas) y que a pesar de todos sus buenos esfuerzos no llega a alcanzar el encanto del original. Así que sólo comprá este si lo encontrás de oferta, sos muy fanático, y realmente te quedaste con ganas de más.
