Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
First of all, I played this on a Steam Deck. If you're planning to do the same, make sure to disable the DLCs, otherwise the game will crash. The DLCs are purely cosmetic anyway. Overall, I enjoyed Just Cause 2, even though the story is definitely not its strongest aspect. It was the perfect game to play for an hour in bed before going to sleep or during my train commute to work. Causing chaos to unlock more main story missions was fun. There are plenty of side activities to earn Chaos, and they're varied enough that unlocking the next story mission never really felt repetitive. I wouldn't recommend doing much more than this though. If you try to complete everything, the gameplay will start to wear thin quickly. One thing that did bother me was the checkpoint system. The game only saves when you start or finish a mission. The "Save Game" option literally just saves your current checkpoint. That means if you spend time causing chaos in the open world and then die or quit, all that progress is gone. I eventually got into the habit of only stopping after starting or completing a mission, and fortunately there are plenty of missions, so it wasn't a huge issue. You can also just start en abort missions and trigger the checkpoint. The destruction, gunplay, and overall chaos are where the game shines. The grappling hook is incredibly fun to experiment with. You can throw enemies off railings, pin pursuing vehicles to the road and watch them crash, ... Shooting also feels very accessible thanks to the very forgiving enemy hitboxes, making it a great game to casually pick up and play on controller. I also found myself occasionally slowing down to take in the world. I'm not going to pretend it's the most detailed open world ever made, but standing on top of a mountain overlooking the landscape or cruising through the rivers and coastline genuinely transports you to Southeast Asia. In fact, I still have the game installed because I could see myself returning just to spend a mindful walk/drive/flight/viewpoint around in the world. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Just Cause 2. It may not excel in storytelling, but it's a fantastic sandbox for pure fun, and it definitely made me look forward to playing Just Cause 3.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Hella good game, fun to play even when not doing the main plot missions. After all of those hours of playing the game, i am still finding stuff to do, new mechanics and fun achivements HELL YEAH. You gotta be a full on tryhard to finish the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game tho. HAHA
Najlepszy sandbox z chaosem, jaki i fabułą - za małolata grałem dużo w jedynke jak i dwójke
One of the most boring map explorations I've ever encountered. The story takes like 1% of the game itself, other than that it's endless collectibles and objects to destroy. If you want to get bored to death, buy this game. Oh also some of the graphic settings cause the game to crash, fun
Mundo abierto con mucha movilidad y posibilidades, Conquista territorios desestabilizando las zonas
the game, for all its dated Criss Angel Mindfreak """Edge""", seems fully fine! no complaints for anything in the actual GAME ... even the ridiculous Indiana Jones Car Hijack minigame. I find it dated, corny, repetitive and charming. I kind of love it. however, the game crashes. and not every now and then - the game doesn't work. I'm actually not able to get through the first chase mission. I just """finished""" [see: "was straight booted from"] my third attempt at just that one long-assed mission (it crashed at the end of the opening mission, too). I disabled Decals, I turned off Bokeh, blah, blah, whatever. nada. even if it DID work, that's still not nearly good enough for a game that's still being sold for actual currency. 2 Dollars or not, the game's at least got to WORK. straight from sale and install. no required mods, no required settings. and this game doesn't. this isn't a problem that's going to be fixed, either. seems at this point the game's literally unplayable for me, so on that basis I unfortunately cannot recommend such a product, Mindfreak as it may seem. maybe I get it to work, probably I don't. how lame. (turns out the real Just Cause was the Criss Angel Mindfreaks we made along the way.) > : - ( !!!
Played this when I was younger, was peak. Still peak easily worth it on sale
