Easy recommendation. Throwback Gold. I’ll probably go through all of them all over again.
underrated,fun,low end friendly
Oh, Just Cause 2... One of my childhood games, with hundreds of hours played on the Xbox 360 back in the day. Might feel like a cheap GTA with a cliché story and clunky mechanics, but deep down it has a great gameplay and great scenario to explore and use as a playground. The story takes Rico Rodriguez and the CIA to the fictional Asian island of Panau, having as mission to take down an agent and eliminate the dictator Baby Panay, with the help of three factions: the Reapers (a communist militia), the Roaches (the local mafia) and the Ular Boys (a religious-nationalist group). Honestly the story is pretty bland, but the missions are fun to play. The gameplay is the best thing about the game, although it aged like milk in some aspects. The driving and flying feel too archaic despite being a 2010 game, having the sensation of driving just in straight line every vehicle. On the other hand, the glappling hook and parachute is way too satisfactly, being the most useful way to move around Panau. The combat sadly feels bitter-sweet, since yeah, you can be creative and use many weapons and the grappling hook to kill, but enemies are just bullets sponges in many cases. And I love Panau's map being so mixed, but the locations feel too repetitive. I'm not saying it's not fun, but you can see the years passed for Just Cause 2... I have mixed feelings about the visuals. I love how Panau is so diverse having desert, jungles, a huge city, snowy mountains, forests... but the game nowadays looks kind of outdated. Yeah, it's a game released originally for Xbox 360 and PS3, back in 2010 (same year we got other games such as Fallout New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake...), but I consider it the game that worse aged in graphics. In terms of OST and voice acting, I'd say the voice acting is weak, feeling like the voice actors were trying their best to put a Indian/Thai accent to the characters and a stupid Mexican accent to Rico, but the soundtrack is satisfying to listen to. Alright, so Just Cause 2 costs for full price 15€, and during sales it costs 1,5€. Does it worth paying full price for it? This is one of the few cases I can say: yes, it does. I managed to get all achievements and get a 92% of completion in around 40€, playing for hours without noticing. Of course during sales you can feel the price it worths more, but don't feel guilty if you pay the initial 15€ for a very complete game (I can't say too mouch about the DLCs since I don't thing they are a necessary thing). Yeah, Just Cause 2 is old, a weaker game compared to other GTA-like games of the same time such as GTA 4 itself, Red Dead Redemption 1, Sleeping Dogs or Saints Row, but it is a fun game to play too. Doesn't matter if you want to play it for the story or to make chaos in Panau, it's a true underrated gem
Great open world, great gun play, striking visuals, and just enough chaos to keep you busy. It's a great time. But still not sure how destroying water towers towns use is a good way to gain their support, but if it's destructible I won't question it.
muy buen juego!!
Works on the basic understanding of almost all gamers: it's fun to explode things! Big open world with plenty of mayhem to cause and bad dudes to kill. The sweet spot for Just Cause games.
execelente juego
Good game.
GUNPLAY LEGNOBO E NEMICI IMPAZZITI
