Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 23 → 12.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

10/10 I think the one thing that really hit me about Journey was the tranquility of it. In very few instances was there any real sense of stress, and most of the gameplay was very peaceful. Another thing I feel like I should add is the music. Genuinely almost made me cry on its own. And for people searching for something mysterious, this is perfect. I honestly have no idea what the story is about, but the game doesn’t force it down your throat like some of the other titles I’ve played either. It’s just something that progresses alongside the gameplay both subtly but also prominently at times. And on a side note: people with potato computers are saved. The game being as old as it is and as optimized as it is runs flawlessly on my ROG Ally Z1 Extreme, and even on my m1 macbook air through GameHub’s beta.
Nota Geral | Overall Rating
Journey is an experience that proves a game doesn't need dialogue, a complex HUD, or tutorials to move you emotionally. thatgamecompany built a short but dense journey, where every dune you cross carries emotional weight. What caught me most off guard was discovering that the game is online. You walk alone through the desert, thinking you're in a solo contemplative experience, and suddenly realize that other hooded figure in the distance isn't an AI, it's another real player, somewhere in the world, living the same crossing as you. There's no name, no chat, nothing that pulls you out of the immersion. It's one of the rare cases where the absence of traditional multiplayer features makes the game special.
Jogabilidade | Gameplay
The gameplay is minimalist by choice, not by limitation. You walk, fly in small bursts using the magic scarf that recharges energy by touching fabric scattered across the environment, and sing. That's it, and it's enough. The real genius of the design is how this "singing" becomes the only tool of communication between you and the other player. With no text chat, no voice chat, no emote, the limited communication forces you to create your own language within the game. A short chirp can mean "come here," and two players singing side by side turn into a silent ritual of companionship. It's remarkable how two strangers develop mutual understanding just by playing.
Journey lasts between 2 and 3 hours, and that's exactly what the game needs to be. There's no fat, no padding too, every chapter has a clear purpose within the emotional arc of the journey, from the calm crossing through the early dunes to the desperate climb up the snowy mountain at the end. It's short enough to be played in a single session, and that's intentional: the game wants you to feel this crossing as a single, continuous experience.
Enredo | Story
There isn't a single line of text explaining what's happening, and yet the story is clear enough to guide you and open enough to let you interpret it. You're a hooded figure walking toward a distant mountain lit by a beam of light, crossing the ruins of a civilization that clearly once lived through something grand and then fell. The murals scattered along the way tell fragments of that fall without ever fully confirming anything, and that's intentional. The ending on the mountain, with the collapse in the snow followed by the resurrection in the form of light, is one of those moments that stays with you, especially if you got there accompanied by another player who had been with you since the start.
Visual
The scenery is, without exaggeration, one of the game's strongest points. The golden dunes at the start, with light hitting in a way that feels like a moving painting, already set a quality bar the game maintains all the way through. The transition between biomes, from the scorching desert to the dark underground ruins and then to the blinding snow of the final mountain, is built with a color progression that reinforces the emotional state of each chapter. Your character's design, simple and iconic with that red scarf against the landscape, creates a visual contrast that works aesthetically and narratively.
Austin Wintory's soundtrack is, on its own, reason enough to play Journey. Every track follows the emotional rhythm of the chapter it's part of, from the more contemplative themes of the dunes to the orchestral crescendo of the final climb up the mountain, one of the most well-built musical moments I've ever seen in a game. The character's chant, that short melodic sound, isn't just a gameplay tool, it's practically an instrument within the score itself, blending organically with the background music. It's rare for a soundtrack to carry this much narrative weight on its own, but here it literally tells half the story.
I didn't think this less than two hours short little game would give such a meaningful experience This is literary a video game equivalent of an arthouse film 10/10
Sharing my Walkthrough: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL957yPFpIoy82Ngfr1qlPhJu9Vtm6q-Sg&si=SXoI_09oPXgppWMT Summary: Journey is a visually stunning adventure game that follows a mysterious robed traveler crossing a vast desert toward a distant mountain that appears to hold great significance. With no spoken dialogue or traditional narrative, the journey is told through the environment, ancient ruins, and brief visions that reveal fragments of a forgotten civilization and its history. We explore the desert, discover hidden areas, and interact with the environment while gradually gaining abilities that allow us to travel farther. Along the way, another player may unexpectedly appear, allowing us to explore and help each other without any traditional communication system. Amazing. I had a Solo experience but was awesome. The game combines beautiful visuals, atmospheric music, and minimalist storytelling. The game creates a peaceful and emotional experience centered on exploration, discovery, companionship, and the journey itself rather than combat. For those who love to explore, you must play this game.
