About
Buy rare and legendary items and organize them to make powerful builds.
Then battle other players with it!

In Backpack Battles, you fight with your backpack full of items. It matters what you buy, and especially how you place it! The smarter you place your items, the stronger you will be!

Items come in different shapes, sizes, prices, and rarities. Combine them into even stronger equipment.
Brew a powerful potion, craft a legendary weapon, or hatch a dragon friend!
There are over 500 different items to choose from!

Face the builds of other players in different game modes:
Unranked: Low pressure without timers
Ranked: Gain points against equal opponents, but still at your own pace
Custom rules: Play unranked but change gold, maximum health, and more
Lobbies: Match friends or streamers live with a timer!
See what they came up with, and counter them.

Pick one of 7 classes depending on your play style, each of them with 5 subclasses!
Do you want heavy crits or poison damage over time? Or squirrels?

I can see why many people love this game. The build variety is insane. Almost every item can combine into something else, and the number of possible strategies feels enormous. There is clearly a lot of depth here. The problem is that the game constantly asks me to remember information instead of helping me use it. I spent most of my first hour opening the recipe book, scanning through pages of item icons, trying to remember what combines into what, then opening it again a few minutes later because I already forgot. It felt less like making strategic decisions and more like taking an open-book exam. I still managed to win my first full run, but honestly, I wasn't thinking much about synergies or long-term planning. I mostly picked items that could merge into something useful because keeping track of everything else was exhausting. I can imagine that after dozens of hours, once all those recipes become muscle memory, the game becomes much more enjoyable. But getting to that point requires far more memorization than I personally enjoy. The depth is there, but the amount of information management between me and that depth was too much. If you enjoy learning and memorizing large crafting trees, you'll probably love it. If you prefer games that surface information clearly and let you focus on decisions rather than memory, your experience may be very different.
Started great but progressively worse as devs continue making bizarre balancing choices. It's just not fun anymore.
Okay, so this isn't normally my style of game. I'm more so a shooter, mmorpg, rpg, those types of games. But I consistently find myself coming back to this game over the years. It's so calm, self paced, and really gets the brain working and thinking and strategizing. It's a fantastic game that I think i'll continue to come back to for a very long time. Also I don't leave reviews, but this game just deserves it.
If you are choosing between THIS GAME and Bazaar, Turnbound and other autobattlers, choose this one without any doubt Amount of ways this game allows you to be creative and have fun is endless. Very deep and strategic, but never boring
不要玩设计师自己都不玩的游戏,还有,幽默火女😅😅
If you love hyper-optimizing inventory space then you'll love this game. some classes i personally do not like (engineer).
You know when you play tetris and you are desperate for a line piece and it shows up immediately after it's too late? Imagine that but it's the entire gameplay experience. And you'll never stop chasing that line piece.
Great bite sized game. Easy to play a quick round and always different!
Lovely art and a really good gameplay loop, a gem in the indie scene. If you're looking for a complex (but not overwhelming) and relaxing auto-battler, the money is worth it on this one. Dorothea's artstyle makes the game feel so much better
