По сравнению с оригиналом - хрень. Больше слов у меня, как с человеком, который играл с Джаггедом и прошёл её за 40 игровых дней, нет!
If you've been pc gaming for as long as I have; you've no doubt seen an updated title of one of your very old favs from way back in the day. J/A is that game for many of us. J/A 1, then 2, then unfinished business.. all in true J/A form and function. If I remember correctly you could even import your Char. from J/A 2 to J/A U/B. Really fun game, and leading edge coding at the time. Then something happened some many years back. The J/A title started getting thrown around like some cheap who#&.. Some of these versions were so bad they were unplayable. Others were super cheap knock offs.. and that's when I heard that voice in my head... "it's gone buddy. They sold it to the hacks" and thus I moved on. Then I see this J/A back in action.. and it had been out for quite a while- so I think "ohh geez, here we go". I went straight to youtube to see some game play. I was impressed, of course I knew this isn't a sure thing, but worth a try. At first not really sure if the Dev's kept true on this one at first. But I played on - had to learn the new combat mechanics- that was totally diff. and almost had me quit- then I saw the strategic depth outside of combat.. characters-maps- guns- more guns- the town take overs- militia- it's really all there... here I mean. When I found this ver of J/A - the new title J/A3 hadn't arrived yet. And I mention that because I found it strange that Back in Action hadn't really taken off much... was back in a corner.. and wasn't just overshadowed by J/A3.. So when it came to Back in Action- were gamers J/A fatigued? Just couldn't trust it after being burned on so many "Hack Takes" of J/A? I can't be sure, but this game does have a strong following. It's no longer updated and I have no Dev status - 13 yrs later, it's safe to say this is the final ver. If you liked the original J/A titles, the good ones.. then you will like this one.. you just have to get used to the combat mechanics. It helps to picture it like your a director on the set of an action film- you tell the actors what to do each short scene at a time. Then you push "action" and you watch them get shot to pieces. "Cut" !.. lol. It will happen at first, so don't plan on jumping right in, kickin a#$ and forming militias along the way. Plan on some restarts- It will take a few combat plays to get you where it clicks.. and it will. And then combat planning clicks, movement, canceling / changing orders, multiple angles of fire, percentage chance to hit etc. It's the odd pace of the mechanic at first maybe that drove players off. I think it's unique and a lot of fun. There are initial delays in Characters following orders that can have your brain cramping at first... Ok so your actors aren't the brightest.. but you'll find it's an easy "realism factor " to overcome. Re-loading while in enemy sights for instance- not a good idea in this J/A ver. It takes time, as it would in real life.. So you'll make sure you're loaded for bear and your secondary weapons are too. Easy to compensate for these types of oddities. Maps are great. Buying / selling weapons- finances. The lap top. I'd say Back in Action is a very cool take on the J/A world. It's brought some dignity back to the title. If you're still too bent (as I was) to trust another J/A title- get this one on sale. Worth it. 7/10 for strat genre "Scratching the J/A itch" 9/10
Awesome, missing some of the elements of Number 2 and some balance issues, but all in all an enjoyable game
