Sinopsis

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you would like a more cozy, relaxing and pacifist version of Wind Waker, this is it. Don't expect action, just sit back, relax and enjoy. At first I was a bit disappointed - the world felt bare, I didn't see why soul jumping was relevant and there wasn't much to do. I just walked around, explored and avoided the small soldier camps because I needed more stamina. I went in thinking it was a short game, and thought I was right after playing for a while, but I was proven so wrong! Fast forward to me getting more stamina and finally continuing with the actual plot, and suddenly there were SO many things to do. I had so much fun! As someone who loves exploring, finding collectables and side quests/games, this was right up my alley. The story was cute, nothing special, but I liked the hints of both humor and something more serious. All elements of the game seemed really thought out, as in, I could see, hear and feel the 'New Caledonia' inspiration throughout the game. As I played through the game I just got more and more positively surprised, it was such a good gaming experience, and when I got to the end, I had hoped there would be more quests, because I was not ready for it to be over. And I think that explains it well "I expected a short and small game, got positively surprised, and when I reached the end all I wanted was to continue playing because it was so good".
I feel a bit conflicted about Tchia. It’s a solid indie game with a beautiful world. The graphics are nice, and the music stands out in a good way. It clearly takes inspiration from the culture of New Caledonia, and that comes through strongly in the setting, the sound, and even the language, which is spoken in a local dialect as well as French. That cultural identity gives the game a lot of charm. The world is filled with things to explore, but personally I wasn’t very inclined to go out of my way to see everything. I mostly followed the main story, which was oke but not really wow either. I did really enjoy sailing around with the boat while the main theme was playing, which created an immersive feeling. That said, there is quite a bit of traveling from point A to point B, often involving long stretches of sailing or walking, which weren't really interesting apart from seeing the environment (which is in itself beautiful to be immersed in) Maybe this game is meant to be played at your own pace, playing on and off. Doing some side things, randomly exploring things. Maybe I did 'rush' it a bit, and that's why I feel conflicted. Interestingly, the more action-focused gameplay only really shows up toward the end. It was a nice change of pace, but at the same time, the game probably would have been just fine without much combat at all. Overall, I did enjoy my time with Tchia, but I don’t think I would have wanted to spend twice as long in it. It’s a good experience, just not one that fully pulled me into exploring everything it had to offer.
A Beautiful, Heartwarming, and Soulful Tropical Adventure Tchia is a wonderful and charming open-world game that feels like a love letter to New Caledonia's culture. It’s a cozy, beautiful journey filled with music, exploration, and a unique sense of freedom. The Soul-Jumping Mechanic: This is the best part of the game! Being able to possess and control over 30 types of animals and inanimate objects (like birds, sharks, or even rocks) makes traversal incredibly fun and creative. Beautiful Cultural Representation: The music, the fully voiced native language, and the local folklore give this game a distinct, authentic, and heartwarming personality. The ukelele rhythm mini-games are a lovely touch. Gorgeous Art and Atmosphere: The tropical archipelago is beautiful to look at. Sailing on your raft, gliding through the air, and watching the sunset feels incredibly relaxing. Pure Freedom: The game doesn't hold your hand. It encourages you to explore at your own pace, climb anything, and just enjoy the sandbox world. Final Verdict: Tchia is a heartwarming, magical, and culturally rich adventure. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful open-world game with Wind Waker or Breath of the Wild vibes but with its own unique soul, this is definitely worth playing!
Wasted potential because of technical issues 1. Sound seems to stutter, gets broken and some weird noise appears at random moments 2. The interactive elements while playing guitar are lagging, they teleport forward and backward, not always but it starts after moment I wish the game would have much better technical state, because other parts of the game bought me, sadly had to return it as it's not playable for me Btw. I have high end PC, no issues in other games
too educational.
I was looking forward to play it since I loved playing botw for the first time, it was such a joy to traverse hyrule without any guideline. I was expecting something similar in tchia and on paper it is something similar. But idk, in tchia everything takes so much time, I feel like the main character moves so slow and it shows when you transform into a fast animal like a bird; the world is not that big which equals endless backtracking and running back and forth; that world is packed with activities and they come in three types: there are simple collectibles — you click the use button and that’s it, there are minigames like shooting range or rhythm minigame or mask carving — they’re cool but incredibly easy and get repetitive really fast, and there are side quests which in majority are just fetch quests — you talk to a person, you go somewhere and get clay or crab or whatever, you come back to a person the same way. Overall the game starts to feel really boring really fast and I don’t think there’s much more for me to see that could change my mind. I really like the fact that developers take so much from New Caledonian culture — it’s great to hear these people’s language and music. It’s just such a shame tchia doesn’t shine that much at gameplay…
