Really fun. The card collecting mechanics are very different to other roguelike deckbuilders if you are looking for a breath of fresh air. I think there is a lot of room in the card design space to do cooler stuff than what they have limited themselves to (resulting in a lot of the cards feeling pretty samey)
This game pisses me off
It's a fun little game with a lot of cute looking critter. There are efforts made to balance the game, but like most games of its kind, certain strategy are more effective than the others. But I don't consider that a bad thing necessary, as knowing which cards are the strongest can be considered a mastery of the game, and unlike actual TCGs, you CAN succeed with a lesser strategy, and that can be a fun challenge in itself. (The mechanics themselves are definitely tight enough.) The game itself is definitely a roguelite where the enemy critters are more powerful than they'd be in your hands and the CPUs ignore energy requirements (not needing to build them up unlike us), BUT their play is telegraphed in advance, and they don't get to use stickers (a powerful category of cards which provide passive bonuses) as we do. However, aside from the roguelite Challenge Run, the game has another mode called Championship, which lets you build your own ideal deck and tackle strong opponents with it. You have to do some Challenge Run to unlock the cards you can use in Championship, but it's a fun mode where you can play with the cards itself and experiment different strategies in their most ideal form. (And the Challenge Run mode also provides a few challenge options.) All in all, I'd definitely recommend the game.
Really fun little rougelike that scratches a TCG itch. The gameplay is solid and will provide tons of hours of fun for those that like the genre. I am not super into the artstyle of the 3D characters (seems like the devs have other similar looking games) but the art of the cards and critters is great!
Very fun game, interesting combos, various strategies are playable but ... the game is just too easy. I guess developers didn't want the game to be frustrating but basically "lives" are not used at all because at some point you just stop losing. Since you don't loose Nuzzlelock becomes just normal mode without additional challenge. Randomiser challege is just a big joke, since it's easier than default mode, you just take duo monsters and exploit "super effective" bonus. Additionally strategies like spamming AoA, just using energy cards if you get true damage from them are just OP. To speed up every mode (except nuzzle lock) you can just spam "white flag" card. As I said it's too easy but I still played to max everything, so I guess it was worth it.
