The human portrait art is hideous, and getting all the achievements was quite tedious—but even so, this might be the best fishing game I've played.
Lure system is essential and unfortunetly broken (or the in game tutorial gives the wrong information).
This game has ruined every other fishing game for me, for every fishing lover this game is designed with brilliance and very thorough in its detail to make you addicted to it. 11/10 I found out about this game after hours of going through reddit posts and comments searching for a game that fill my hunger for the rush of adrenalin that i get after finally winning against a fish my obsession started like many by the mini fishing in a game (for me rdr2 and stardew valley) but i craved more and i saw someone recommending this game saying we should not judge how it looks i was intrigued by this so i looked it up and yeah i judged HARD but still i found it very charming and the perk of making my own lures won me over and the price sealed the deal what i found was the most amazing thrilling and addicting game i have ever played. the amount of details that went into this is astounding! every minute detail kept feeding my obsession with the game and even now at 101 hours! i still find something new the game itself is very simple and even the more intricate mechanics are easy to understand and the story ease you into it without overwhelming the player. you can only just fish like thats it. you can interact with other ships or dock to buy stuff among other thing but the main gameplay is fishing. the fun is how you can improve your fishing you can learn info that helps you calculate the best time to fish, how to design the best lure for it, where in the lake you can get it. plus the aspect of waiting is very rewarding in this game the story is very short but full of character charm and extremely hilarious. the npcs are fun i enjoyed their dialogs. the quests you go through have variety to it even though you could only fish in this game the game have a set of named locations with known fish and geography and you can be sent to a random location that has never been explored. i spent more than an actual real time month searching every corner in a random lake and yet there is one fish i couldnt catch. its have been the most fun i had in a game this game is for the detail oriented whos idea of fun is to research or a person with an ocd
Not for me. Not enough feedback to help understand why you aren't catching anything. I know it will work for some. Boring and frustrating for me.
I adore this game. It's very slow, very chill, and to me there's something about it that's mesmerizingly beautiful. It is very abstract, but somehow captures certain aspects of fishing that many detailed simulators miss. I stepped away earlier this year after playing it more than 50 hours, and still I keep wanting to come back to it.
this game made me bald
I wish every game had fishing mechanics this good. Exploring uncharted lakes also has its own charm. You can even design your own lures!
Really enjoyable and relaxing experience, deep enough to have you think but not overly difficult, just right for an evening gaming session. The procedural generation keeps me coming for more and have fun chasing achievements. The story and side quests have a good and fun writing. THE feature I'm missing is to spite NPC anglers that don't want to give me any advice >:( ... just let me teleport them few galaxies away. Overall: I definitely recommend Intergalactic Fishing, a game with engaging mechanics that doesn't revolve around combat is a nice change of pace.
fish forever
Pleasantly surprised by this simple but incredibly addicting game. Highly recommended!
