Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project. INSIDE is a dark, narrative-driven platformer combining intense action with challenging puzzles. It has been critically acclaimed for its moody art style, ambient soundtrack and unsettling atmosphere.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.5/day in the week to Aug 3 → 27.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I picked this up while it was on sale. It only costs seven dollars now, and seven dollars is an absolute bargain for a game that takes roughly eighteen hours to beat completely. As for the story, there are no written explanations; everything is left entirely to the player’s imagination. So I’m going to lay out my own self‑written plot. The story is set in the future, on an unspecified day in 20XX, at 11:45 a.m. (It looks like early spring or autumn). The protagonist carries the mission to sabotage wicked experiments. Futuristic tech corporations hold a monopoly over most of the world’s resources. They control farmlands, wastelands and cities, running a string of experiments that ravage local ecosystems and the environment. They have also abducted most of the human population for biological cloning. That explains why the opening scene is shrouded in heavy, dark clouds. A huge truck packed with humans drives along the road, and apart from that, there are only black‑cloaked agents everywhere hunting the protagonist. After evading these agents and reaching the farm, you find it completely deserted. The ground is in disarray, buildings lie in ruins, and horned hogs as well as chickens wander around with no one to tend them. Moving onward into the city, people are still few and far between. Most humans move like the walking dead, drained of all color and life. The protagonist flees non‑stop, steals a mini‑submarine at the docks, and encounters the first bio‑modified creature along the way underwater: the ghost merman. Fortunately, these water wraiths fear light. Through a tense cat‑and‑mouse chase, the protagonist finally shakes them off and arrives at the desert mining site. The mines are filled with lifeless cloned miner drones. With the protagonist’s directions and help from these miners, the hero reaches the supernatural shock‑wave power plant. Using barriers to block shock‑wave damage, the protagonist keeps searching for the laboratory. While riding an elevator, a shock‑wave strikes, sending them plummeting deep into the ocean. They are captured by ghost mermen and physically transformed into one of them. Their mind, however, remains untouched — only their body is altered to survive deep‑sea conditions. Now transformed, the protagonist roams across oceans and factories alongside three new ghost mermen. Eventually they reach the biochemistry lab. Dodging pursuit, they leverage their new ghost‑merman abilities to navigate aquatic zones and sneak into the ultimate research chamber. They merge with the ultimate test subject, “Meat Orb”. They go on a rampage, smashing through lab facilities and walls. Inside the executive office, they score the game’s only kill‑death moment by taking down the big boss (though you can choose to spare him). Practically immune to fall damage, they plummet dozens of meters, losing only some body parts, and press on toward the corporate cinema. There they put on a chaotic show for all corporate staff and lab scientists, messing around with crates. The researchers set a trap, turning the protagonist into a giant variant that plunges into the water, now practically immune to drowning. They flow down specialized pipes to the corporation’s lower levels. Aided by local workers, the final vulnerable gate of the complex swings open. The protagonist tumbles down a mountainside, a legendary rolling wreck, smashing through trees and countless boulders, until at last they tumble onto a beach. Bathed in sunlight, they gain their freedom. — End Anyone who has played the game will easily notice: the dim‑witted minions the protagonist can command, and the helmet‑controlled puppets, barely resemble humans beyond their appearance. These are likely the abducted, enslaved, numbed people or cloned husks produced by the corporation. After unlocking the secret ending, I also found you can literally pull the plug to end the game. So the core story is roughly this: lab scientists, crushed under the corporate boss’s exploitation, secretly built a modified being — the playable protagonist. They use this creature’s power to get revenge on the boss, win freedom and sunlight, and rise up against capitalist oppression. A supreme artistic statement. Truly, this is art.
A well-designed game with a deep, engaging story.
