the game is surprisingly good for how small its size is (less then 4 gigabytes) although it has a small player population the bots make that a lot less noticeable not to mention the more players there is online the harder it would be for new people who like to play alone (unless u play smart and try to stick closer to allied AIs and support them and use them as meat shields). though on the days there is more then 7 players i noticed they don't tend to target other players to heavily so long as they aren't a major threat/target to the whole battlefield (playing with a spinal cruiser or carrier) or you didn't kill them once, so i find it pretty fun and i don't regret buying it
Go ahead and add this to your library. This is the most complete large scale space battle sim there has ever been. The friendly and enemy AI are competent, so player count doesn't really make a difference. If you have ever wanted a space combat sim where you can squad up with your buddies and fly missions in a huge living space battle, this is the one you're looking for. Supports in-game squad comms and control. Yes, you can fly a carrier and have 24 of your friends fly squadrons out of your hangar. The dev has been working away on this title, creating a truly amazing space combat sim, without any sort of marketing promotion. That's why you haven't heard of it before. From what I understand, when the game is closer to 1.0, media campaigns will begin and the players will start coming in. This will be a wonderful game for streamers, so I'm sure it will be popular eventually. The AI is great, so really there's no need to wait for other players. Works great with mouse + keyboard. HOTAS + Any sort of head/eye tracker = magnificent.
An amazing game. Unfortunately, as the servers are PvPvE only and only populated with 1-10 people per day, my fellow veteran captains will hunt down new or passive players, laugh at them and call it a victory. I would avoid multiplayer until more players are active or they add PvE.
Fully Newtonian space combat at the battlegroup level? Yes, please!~ The game looks amazing and it has pretty much full functionality at this point in the single and multiplayer sides. It is the closest thing to one of those big movie space battles that you can get. Even a day 1 ship is totally playable, as long as you are cautious (like, Don't try to kill a Cruiser with a fighter!). The balance feels on-point and, although there are upgrades, they are incremental. They don't feel game-breaking, and there are no God-Ships running around. The game doesn't waste the player's time. There are tons of Quality of Life features that ensure you are kept informed about the progress of the battle, and can stay right on top of the action even after a death or respawn. You gain experience and money through fighting, so progression feels natural and fun. YOU DON"T HAVE TO GRIND TO GET TO THE FUN PART. It is fun from the first part. You can play the whole thing in Solo, if you want to. The AI is competent enough to give you a good fight, and there is enough hardware on the enemy side to keep just one player from affecting the outcome. It runs great on my old-ish PC and I've yet to find a major bug. Never had a crash.
your weapons die and your ship dies, weapons repair doesnt work so basically your ship is a siting duck doing nothing and thats in every much its boring and frustrating.
good game needs more players tough.
great game small dev team. give it a try and support these guys!!
Really good game, no farming or grinding, just exciting and well balanced space combat
I love this game, its fun playing alone or with people. the flight mechanics are really well done, the tracking for firing arcs is a little difficult in comparison to some other games. you could be on target yet not hitting them even while being in range. its possible for a more difficult experience and its not like it cant be learned/ compensated for. I pray this game will get more popular. More people to fight with and/or against is fun. the thing people don't get though. its got a offline mode the game does not require a whole group. And its fun regardless. as you play you gain rep and money, used to fly different ships or customize your load-out on the ship of choice. you get support roles, strike craft, bombers, destroyers, ect. Id definitely suggest taking a look, hope to see yall out there.
I really dislike the way you accrue SP points. Legit have to sit waiting for half an hour to get a carrier, in my case to deploy to a defense mission that was just about lost and instantly killed by the enemy AI surrounding the base I was auto deployed to. I understand you can play other cheap ships in the mean time but they designed it so that as you get closer to the cap of 3000 SP points your SP generation goes down dramatically. Because of that losing cheap ships has a massive penalty when waiting for enough SP for a carrier. I feel like you should be able to attain more by your performance not a timer. Especially with how multiplayer is basically single player....
