INDIKA is a third-person, story-driven game set in a strange world where religious visions clash with harsh reality. It tells the story of a young nun who sets off on a journey of self-discovery with the most unusual, horn-headed companion by her side.
On the outside, Indika seems to be a typical nun attempting to adjust to a difficult and monotonous monastery life. Humble and innocent in her appearance, do not be deceived as this young girl has also made a highly unlikely acquaintance—as she speaks with the devil himself.

Indika’s unusual connection with the Evil One leads her on an errand beyond the safe walls of the monastery. The world she discovers can only be described as a wild combination of comedy and tragedy straight out of the novels by Dostoyevski and Bulhakov.
The subjects of religion and authority are prevalent throughout Indika’s journey and she’ll be faced with many questions along the way. Guide her to find the answers one by one before she can finish her life-defining odyssey.
Odd Meter is a small, independent studio formerly based in Moscow and now operating out of Kazakhstan. Its members put aesthetics at the forefront and aren’t afraid to tread the fine line of ethical norms. Their game is a great testament to that, as INDIKA constitutes an open challenge to the industry's established approach to creating video games.

Reviews
I loved the story, but the gameplay was god-awful.
TO HELL WITH GOD.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Indika Complete: [11 Bit Studios / Odd Meter] Indika, not to be confused with indica, is not your expected definition of a video game. It's more akin to a single serving setting, somewhere between watching a film, while doing minimal "video game" button presses to where you are fully in control of the character, but the story is spelled out for you. It's extremely linear, but there are a few side paths you can explore. You'll never be far from the intended path forward. It's not a 2 hour film or Fortnite, yet it aligns it's pacing closer to a film rather than your quick instant shooty shooty bang bang video game pacing. It's kind of hard to explain in text. You'll finish it within one setting. Two if you really need to cut it into pieces. The story flows in such a way where everything seems grounded, but you are surrounded by surrealism. The gritty visuals make it seem grounded, while the audio design is implemented quite well and feeds into that grounded, surrealism vibe of the entire experience. Sometimes the scale looks right, while other times the scale completely breaks the boundaries of that grounded tone. It's done tastefully. If there is one complaint with the visuals, it's this. The game requires, as of the writing of this critique, 50GB of hard drive storage. That is a CHONKER of a game and could be a turn off for some, but the visuals are the star performer here. This is a 3rd Person perspective game, where you see the character, while you are looking at the character through a lens. Sometimes, you might feel as if the 4th wall is knocking as it might break sometimes. The writing is kind of silly at times, but it wants to make sure the player is paying attention. So, I guess I'll try to explain the story. You are a Nun, who has sensual feelings, but has to suppress those feelings due to having the life of a Nun. She is chosen to go on a journey, and that's all I say about that. Because I'd just spoil the entire thing and you wouldn't want to see, for your self, what's actually in store for you. The gameplay boils down to always moving forward, with a few minor side things that do remind me that it's still just a video game. I'm not sure I was a fan of that, but it fits the entire tone of what's to come. Remember, it's a video game, so you do end up doing video game things. It's just, you might need some arcade reflexes during a couple of sections, and will need to solve simple logic puzzles. What I can say is, I spent a little more time on the first puzzle of the game, than I'd have hoped. It's not hard, my brain just took a few minutes to understand the puzzle in question. Everything else was easier for me understand, until I realized what the story was going to say. At that moment, I understood the story of our Nun. It's got a darker undertone than most games are willing to push. The whole "religion" thing is forced upon you from the get-go. There are a lot of religious symbolism from start to finish. And you have to remember, this is a video game that bends the rules sometimes. It might cause you to think about what you're hearing, within the story. It's well crafted, and then I saw the ending coming a mile away. And that's the end. It's not what I'd call a fun video game, but it still is a video game by design. A piece of art that I've never quite seen before. Something so unique, that this critique is being published for the masses to read, if they want. I didn't want to put this one down. And I'm glad I got to experience it, and it only took about 5 hours of my time. I enjoyed my time with it, and got to see what video games can be, and not expected to be. The unfortunate part of it is this. I can't say it's more than average in the gameplay department, and some might just outright dismiss it as a "walking simulator", and that isn't unwarranted, as that's basically all you do, but each set piece after the next is what kept me going. With that said, I give this a Golf Score of: Par
⛪
INDIKA — Uma Viagem Surreal, Filosófica e Absurdamente Original
