Been playing on and off since 2013, most active between 2016-2020ish, I have ~500 hours before I bought it on steam. Probably the best WW2 flight sim on the market in the way they approach it, every pack has a relatively complete set of aircraft to complement their respective time windows and theaters of war, i.e. 1942-43 Eastern front, 44-45 Western front, etc. Frequently goes on sale from ~$80 to $15 for the deluxe editions of packs.
For those who wish to put in the time
Best war game with plane
A tank and a flight sim is great ...really enjoyed first mission in tank...so far 16 hours down and counting.
10/10 DLC's get a little bit expensive but you get more for you dollar than DCS. If you want realistic ww2 dogfights this is the title you should be playing in 2026!
Realistic, sensical WWII air war simulator, not arcade like War Thunder, still you can tune realism to just take off and go, you do need a joystick
90 planes. if you have all DLCS. yeah.... if you dont have NOTHING. THE NUMBER FALLS TO 8 ONLY 8 PLANES PLAYABLE, and just to put a mark, the arado ar234 cost 14 dollars. 14 dollars ONE PLANE. 0/10. i better suffer in il 2 1946, at least i can play all the planes i see
I absolutely love this game. I have been playing it on my Quest 3 headset, and having the time of my life.
Great WW2 sim game to fly and shoot. More realistic than arcade, but not DCS graduate level studies. Plenty of DLC, with sales often to keep new content flowing without vacating the wallet
