Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

In the update for week 199, the developers explicitly stated that flag decorations were added for 29 countries, and Taiwan Province was included among those 29 countries as if it were a country. This is a disrespect towards China, and the development team has not issued any apology or made any announcement about removing it. There has also been no change made in the game itself.Taiwan Province has always been an inseparable part of China. The approach taken by the developer has left Chinese gamers deeply disappointed. A game company should not make such a significant and elementary mistake in game production. The Preamble of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China stipulates: "Taiwan is part of the sacred territory of the People's Republic of China. The great cause of reunifying the motherland is the sacred duty of all Chinese people, including our compatriots in Taiwan."

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

tl;dr Flawed but charming game, undercut by constantly clawing at your wallet and secretly paywalling endgame Icarus feels like someone had the idea for a unique survival crafting game, got 90% done making it, and then got bored and then started phoning it in to cash in on DLC. All the "pieces" of a good game are there, but when you get into the details of almost any system (crafting, questing, talents, building, combat), it gets real sloppy. On top of that, whenever you load up the game, the Main Menu consists solely of a giant yellow PURCHASE NOW button, which you are forced to be exposed to every time you want to play. Uhh, I DID just purchase now. That's why I'm seeing your menu. After character creation, it gives you the option to either play missions or create an open world, and it gently nudges you to select "missions" as this is the "traditional experience". This is a mistake. Most missions are simple fetch quests which consist of building/teching up from scratch, completing the quest, and then starting from scratch again. This might have some value if the world were randomized, but it puts you in the same world over and over. It's essentially just deleting all of your buildings and making you start over with sticks and rocks while asking you to re-invent electricity. Comparatively, "Open World" gives you access to all the same quests, except it doesn't delete your progress in between each one. ??? This is the obvious choice, and it's clearly what the game was balanced around. Once you're in game, here's what you can expect: - The game starts strong, with a unique weather system, nice visuals, and an elaborate tech tree to look forward to. - The speed of progression is okay. At first you're still moving slow and learning the systems, but at some point you will probably need to grind xp - The quests are hilariously inconsistent in their effort:reward ratio. One quest will require you to find and process rare minerals, a process which requires a shelter, survival tactics, multiple trips, and an entire evening of game time. Another will require you to collect ice, which is sitting on the ground, and takes 5 minutes to pick up. And they both pay the same. - The "combat", which starts as you hunting for food and leather, quickly becomes a genocidal grind, with resource requirements skyrocketing. I had to kill 100 deer for a single quest. I had to kill 40 cougars in a 3 minute period to defend a beacon. They don't behave like "wildlife", they behave like "monsters". - The talents are also dumb. Some of them are obvious necessities (base increase to stamina/health, enemy health bar visibility), while others have literally no purpose (take less damage from falling trees). And there's a level cap so you have to prioritize the important ones - The game doesn't have many of the modern amenities of survival crafting games. Inventory management is a nightmarishly manual process- even the "stack similar items" button doesn't have a hotkey. - Building is cumbersome- you need to craft individual build pieces one at a time and carry them in your inventory. The placement and shapes are kind of wonky but I'll give it a pass for being a 5 year old game. All of the elements of a good game are here, and if you're willing to work around the rough edges, it can be kind of fun. I'm convinced that a competent game dev could make this game incredible, given the opportunity to make some tweaks over a few weeks. In fact, this review would actually be a "Thumbs up" if not for one simple factor, and the reason I uninstalled the game- and that's because of the shady bait-and-switch they pull near endgame. There's no indication that most of the tier 5 tech tree is DLC only. You can even spend points on "uranium locators" and "nuclear generators", but you will never find the materials in the base-game world. Every other DLC item before tier 5 tells you that it's DLC only with a little icon, but it's clear they wanted people invested in their world so that they would want to "finish it" by spending more money. There's no icon indicating that endgame is paywalled. As of now, the cost of the non-cosmetic DLC bundle is $77USD, which I wouldn't even spend that on a triple-A game, let alone a game that can't be bothered to give its "stack similar items" button a hotkey. If they put more focus on quality then maybe I wouldn't be as offended, but for all its positives, the game really comes off as a lazy cash grab.
its cool but yeah in game purchases to access content isnt very cool. you need to spend like $300 to access the full game. I've played nearly 100 hours now and absolutely love it and theres plenty to do with just the base game i just dont want to support $250 worth of "DLCs"
I put my fireplace too close to my bedroll. When I got up, I stepped into the fire and then set my house on fire. I watched from outside as my first house lit up and burned to the ground. Then a horse kicked me in the face and I died. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
强烈抵制该游戏!游戏将台湾旗帜单列成独立国家,公然违背一个中国原则、国际社会准则与国际共识,违反联合国 2758 号决议,严重侵犯中国领土主权,绝不推荐! Strongly boycott this game! The game displays Taiwan's flag as that of an independent country, which blatantly violates the One-China Principle, norms of the international community, international consensus and UN General Assembly Resolution 2758. It seriously infringes China's territorial sovereignty. Do not recommend at all!

Wow I never wrote a review for this. So the game is honestly phenomenal. One of my favorites I've ever played across any genre, and I have like 4k hours across all the different Mass Effects. The good: Solid gameplay and combat Just enough tutorial to get you on your feet, but doesn't overdo it Truly ridiculous amount of content in the base game. I have all the DLC, but I still haven't even finished all the content available in the base world. The bad: The game was NOT optimized for the open world that most people prefer. If you don't run it on a dedicated server, the host WILL eventually lag out to the point of unplayability. Honestly, even playing solo, I run the dedicated server on my personal machine. There are a lot of negative reviews that mention the amount of DLC. You don't have to have it. Seriously. Over half of it is cosmetic or just chill stuff. There are three world DLCs and a special Super Boss DLC. They are all individually worth the money I spent on them.
I used to love/hate this game. There was an uncomfortable amount of camera wobble that was headache inducing, and the animals were sometimes jump scary. It. Has, Changed. Movement is much smoother, open world means progression feels like progress, plus it's reduced the unnecessary repetitive grind. The game gets weekly updates, tweaks, and more. The QoL is orders of magnitude better. This is squarely in the love pile, now. Some people have said the game needs automation and stuff like that. I don't know if I agree. This game isn't trying to be Satisfactory, or Planet Crafter, It's its own animal, and I think its content manages to stand on its own.
