Oldowan

Pretty fun. Lots to craft and seems like there's a good amount of building options. The smelting process for metal is very in-depth and interesting. Not a lot of animal variety. Graphics are simple and cute. Oh and you can fish, so that's a plus. 👍👍

So far I'm enjoying this game! The graphics and color palette is visually pleasing, and I like the simplistic approach. The crafting mechanics are cool, I like that it requires different methods of crafting depending on the end result, and that it's based on real life. Excited to see how this game develops over time.

Game is poggers. revitalized my will to live. In fact, the 2..6 hours i played were enough for me to reconsider my life choices, and if given the chance, i would go back and download the game upon day one, nay, hour one release. 5/5.

This game is amazing. I never leave reviews but I felt this one was necessary as this game does not get the respect it deserves. Firstly, I'd like to preface that mixed reviews on this unsanctioned weapon of mass destruction is ungodly. The other people whining with negative reviews in the comments are meerly weak. Unable to conquer the land that is before them. So I ask you this. Were those who stood before us, our ancestors, ever able to consider the absurdity of the lands in which they roamed? Did they have time to stand before an unknown creature before it attacked them and question it?? no. So why are you questioning that a crocodile is attacking you. In all seriousness, this game shouldn't have mixed reviews. People leaving bad reviews because they're bad is hilarious. The gameplay is somewhat janky in some regards, but the progression system and its somewhat charming graphics don't leave much to be desired. In my opinion, the difficulty curve of this game is, well, big. Combat is next to impossible unless you have either multiple people or 1000 IQ. TIP - use fences in literally every encounter and you will never lose, its basically fortnite. However, literally everything but one singular mob will attack you. Leaving you in a constant state of fear, running for your life while trying to balance your hunger, temperature, hydration, insulation, armour etc. The game is pretty difficult but that is 90% of its appeal so just like idk....be good? In terms of negatives, the mobs tend to have some pretty uhhhhh interesting behaviour? deers run away but follow exactly where your crosshair is pointing (which is somewhat of a game mechanic since its like, the only way you can kill them - by running them into a tree and then killing them from behind). Likewise, apparently a stick fence is enough to stop a fully grown man in his tracks - I guess it is like a caveman tho so maybe. But overall the game works in its own goofy, difficult, charming way and is definitely worth a try. The weak peasantry who cannot stand before a mammoth and defeat it with their bare hands should not even be worthy of leaving a review on this beautiful masterpiece. And to whoever created this ungodly land of trials and tribulations - thanks, its actually kinda fun.

Even though this is an EA game, this game needs some work.. issues that i have as of right now when chopping down a tree the tree falls over and what is left standing is a shell of a tree that you can walk through and will not disappear, there really is no guide as to guide new players. i had crafted a basic spear and tried to hunt a bird but for some odd reason ever time i tried to hurt the bird with the spear it failed and the bird well it obviously had killed me. to be very honest do not get this game yet as it is in very EA like i had stated needs work. although the idea of the game is there its not done also the discord link in the store page does not work for me it says invite invalid

At first I thought that this game would be fun but I was wrong. Everything that I've encountered in the game will attack you on sight. That includes chickens, CHICKENS!!! Second the trees I chopped down still stands and I can walk straight through them. The tutorial if you can call it that is pitiful to where I had to figure out some UI elements myself. Will NOT RECOMMEND and refunded.

Oldowan is all about survival, my fellow cave dwellers. You'll scavenge for resources, hunt mammoths, and avoid becoming dinner for crocodiles. The visuals in Oldowan are simple, but consistently fun to look at. I have a blast fighting villagers with my spear-wielding cave friends in multiplayer. I would recommend it to anyone who likes laid-back survival games.

This game sucks!. I literally get killed instantly over and over again by a crocodile and an NPC that does not stop chasing me and I am in the tutorial still. I cant even build a workbench as I am trying to run for my life.I have played many survival games and this is probably one of the worst I have played. It looks really good and promising, but if you die over and over again in the tutorial there is a problem. Save yourself some money and avoid this game or check this out when more updates come out. Maybe the developers will fix this issue with enemies trying to kill you 5 minutes into the game.
