Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

scratches an itch I've yet to really find any other games to satisfy. Highly recommend if you enjoy a more interactive approach to chose your own story games

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Both smoothly playable and deeply re-playable. In fact, I've never seen something that isn't a rogue-like make replay so compelling, and bluntly, vital to a MUCH larger narrative than a first playthrough would suggest. The rewards for various stages of the narrative becoming the very cards out of which you build your deck elevates the game. The choices are more robust than a pure visual novel, and the card system actually feeds the narrative and feeds from it, such that you're not just min-maxxing on a vaguely story-coded backdrop - the art on the cards even feels like it matters. 10/10
So far, I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is probably my favourite game I've picked up this year. I've spent most of my time playing on the Switch version rather than the steam, so just know I have many more hours there. I've had it on my radar for a while before getting it because I thought it wouldn't really like the deckbuilder (?) side to it. Not really true. It's not Really that big of a part of the game and it gives a nice little break from long novel segments. The card art is cute, I love the inclusion of community art. The world is interesting, I love the characters all so very much. I love their designs, I love the naming conventions, I love discovering their augments. The only main criticism I really have is how the beginning of the game after starting repeat runs can be a bit of a slog, especially before you can go out exploring.
Good little romance game. It's also interesting to discover the cast of characters and the story.
Enjoyed the story massively!
Great narrative title. Belies expectations. If you're someone who liked Citizen Sleeper, this is right up the same alley, just on the other end of the cyberpunk/solarpunk spectrum
This is a very well executed story game with card game mechanics added in. It's also very replayable.
