outdated gameplay to the point i can't even watch somone play the game at 2x speed great story tho. reading the book i feel will be better.

It's your classic cryptic old-school PC point & click puzzle adventure game. 3/5 characters I did just fine figuring stuff out. 2 Characters I got stumped had had to look something up. I didn't want to do that, but I did feel better knowing the things I got stuck on are common. Definitely play this for the story, the puzzles are quite oldschool. The best ending is only possible if you do each of the characters individual best endings, its a lot of work. Unless you look up an alt route. Anyways, rambling over, its alright of a game. 7/10

Read the short story. Don't bother buying this. This game has such esoteric puzzles, that you should open up youtube when playing it and use a guide every 2 minutes, or you will suffer just like the victims of AM playing this by yourself.

For a game from 1990, it’s remarkably well-execute, sure, the gameplay makes it feel like you're coding the mechanics on the fly, but as for the story, well, it did win an award. If it were remade for modern times, or adapted into a movie today, it would be a mouth-watering.

AM scares me

Honestly? I think it's a classic. Holds up quite well even today in my opinion (and the game is like twice my age as of writing this). It is a bit difficult I'll admit, I had to use a walkthrough for a fair part if the game. Regardless, this game gave us a wonderful performance from Harlan Ellison (RIP), and AM was by far the best part of the game.
