Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Overall its a solid game but, it is literally impossible to beat it with out a guide. It becomes really unplayable because you need to look at a guide for every click you perform and it becomes more of a homework than an actual game that's supposed to be enjoyed. To sum things up, i wouldn't recommend this game for an average (modern) gamer, and its only somewhat fun if you read the novel.
Peak. Let me tell you how much i've come to love this game since I launched it. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word "peak" was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles, it would not equal one one billionth of the appreciation I have for this masterpiece at this micro-instant. PEAK. PEAK.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

*IMPORTANT: This review is all about the game, not the novel itself. As someone who used to play a few old-school point-and-click games, I understand how difficult it can be to finish one without a guide. Otherwise, you gotta spend more than 30 hours exploring and clicking things until you can guess the developers' minds. I've tried this game, and it's what I've said it is. The problem is that this game is a little bit harder, as the game will NOT allow you to progress even if you did everything correctly until you click on a specific thing, which allows you to see specific dialogues first (this is very absurd). Bugs still exist with no auto-save. I played the Benny part where I needed to plant fruits, and it got stuck there, unable to move or do anything, and yes, I did not do a manual save. Starting from the beginning again is a pain in the a55. So, I suggest saving the progress frequently.
"I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" is a point-and-click adventure and ChatGPT vengeance scenario simulator developed by 'The Dreamers Guild' in 1995 and remastered by 'Night Dive Studios' in 2025. Directed by the mind of Harlan Ellison, who co-wrote the game with writer David Sears. The game ITSELF is based on and expands on the short story "I have no mouth, and I must scream," which was ITSELF written by Harlan Ellison, who ALSO narrates A.M. in the game. It's objectively some of the best voice acting in any game to be released in or out of the 'Adventure' genre. 10/10 story, and the writing is close to, if not better than, the source material itself. That being said, it's not a great game. It plays like a classic point-and-click game (because it is), so nothing is explained, and it's full of trial-and-error puzzles. I wouldn't be upset if you use a guide; actually, I HIGHLY encourage it because it's places you can soft-lock yourself if you don't do things in the correct order.
The stupid archaic puzzles and dumbass ♥♥♥♥♥♥ progression really simulate the experience of being tortured by AM for all eternity. Good voice acting and writing it expands on the world of the short story really well
I have no mouth and I must reccomend not because the game is well made it isnt not really, you'll need a guide unless you want to spend hours figuring out all the interactions and dialogue choices that deadend your runs. the puzzles are obtuse and not intuitive to figure out but its fully voice acted, with Harlan Ellison voicing AM and its hella dark, as it should be so if you're a fan of the story you'll enjoy this on its own merit
I haven't finished it yet and I must review! I'm currently on the last human story and I must say the stories are reallly interesting. the voice acting is good and the graphics look amazingly sharp for a game from 1996. something else I found out while playing is that there are slight variations possible within the stories which not many point and click adventures do. I haven't even seen the golem alive in Nimdoks story cause I did an alternative ending by accident. only negative points I'd give is that some puzzles are anoyingly hard or obscure. there was a story in which you needed a shovel and it wasn't even visible in the scene. either it was bugged for me and invisible or this was intentional and could only be found hovering around the trashcan but it made me have to look up the solution. besides that I AM very pleased with this game it rekindled my love for the genre once more
It is your standard, old-school, click and point game. Some of the puzzles or uses of items would have been so hard for me to do without a guide, but that was the way of the world then. The story is terrifying and I think the game did the original work justice. I sure felt the ick several times. Following a guide to get the story would be worth it, in my opinion! Dystopias are super in right now.
I have no personality, and I have to LARP
