I hate to leave a bad review for an indie devs first game but this is not scary or fun to play. the house model asset has been used in a few other horror games that i already knew the whole house the second i started the game. the character stops chasing you if you run up 1 step. and he isnt scary. when you hide under the dining room table, you can still see your character standing right in front of you. just not good. my RTX4090 Graphics card overheats and throttles for some reason which means poor optimization. best of luck to the dev though, dont give up!
I'm kind of torn on this one. I really appreciate that they are going for something a bit more unique than a lot of games. I think they did a lot right. Being a young lady was the right choice for the protagonist, and I did feel myself being anxious and stressed...in a good way. I found the gameplay fun, and would play it again if they expanded the game. What I didn't like was mainly the length. From the description, I was under the impression it would be longer with more than one home invasion scenario. And that "Atmospheric House" is so freaking overused. The burglar AI could be better and I'm not sure if I just missed them, but I would like a couple more hiding places, especially in the basement. And One thing that drives me crazy in a lot of games, including this one, is keys, cards, other items, in the most random of places nobody would ever think to look. I get it that that is pretty much a staple of horror games that you have to look everywhere, but I think there should be some rhyme or reason, or a clue as to where items you are looking for could be. One more thing, and it's both a pro and a con, was the typical pictures you see in every other horror game. They were in this game, but I appreciated that the dev gave them a reason to be there by adding notes as to why they are relevant. Ultimately I do recommend this game, as I had fun playing it and liked the unique approach, even if done with assets that aren't unique. My only hangup is the price, as I think it's a little high compared to what else you can get at that price. It's certainly not the worst price or a ripoff or anything like that though. https://youtu.be/UzQj_6R5T-0
This game attempts to bring a fresh perspective to the home invasion horror genre by casting you in the role of a young woman navigating a familiar, atmospheric house. The anxiety and tension do manage to surface at times, and the premise had solid potential, especially for a debut indie project. There are glimpses of creativity here, like the inclusion of notes that provide context for typical genre imagery, which shows some thoughtfulness in the design. However, there are several issues that undermine the experience. The biggest is the heavy reliance on a house model and asset pack that's instantly recognizable from other indie horror titles. This can break immersion for anyone who’s played similar games before, since you might already know the layout from the start. The AI for the antagonist is quite weak—simple actions like stepping onto a stair cause the enemy to lose interest, which kills any ongoing suspense. Hiding mechanics feel unfinished; hiding under the dining room table still leaves your character fully visible, which removes any sense of safety or realism. Exploration often devolves into searching for keys or other items stashed in illogical, random places. While this is common in the genre, it gets frustrating without at least some in-game clues or logic to guide your search. There’s potential here for smarter puzzles and more meaningful environmental storytelling. Performance is another concern. Even high-end hardware struggles, with reports of severe optimization issues leading to overheating and throttling during gameplay. This isn’t a visually demanding title, so such problems are disappointing. Despite all this, if you’re interested in seeing an indie developer’s take on home invasion horror, this game still manages moments of tension. The price point feels a bit high for the short length and limited scope, but if you enjoy supporting new developers and can overlook some rough edges, you might find something worthwhile here. With more polish, better AI, and less dependence on reused assets, future projects from this developer could be much stronger. For now, this is a promising but flawed first attempt.
Mal, feito, literalmente pra pegar dinheiro fácil
