Fun game play and engaging story

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I am completely obsessed with this game, it has taken over my life, and is all I think about. This is the perfect cozy game imo
Besser als erwartet. Macht süchtig. Ich mag es sehr. Nur die Musik Auswahl ist mager. Nervt irgendwann.
I got it in a humble bundle for pretty cheap and I enjoyed the game a lot at first, but then it just started to fall apart towards the mid-to-late game. The busy work can be enjoyable if you're into it, but the reason I'm likely never going to finish this game is because I felt no real reason at all to expand my base after getting the main parts set up. I just upgraded my storage and the minions are very slow until you upgrade them. Even then they get stuck often and you have to set their job again after rescuing/moving them to fix their pathing. The game also has no way for you to keep track of buildings being constructed and what mats they need, since you can just set them up and leave them. The storage is abysmal too. You can store things in your workbenches. It sounds nice, but I don't believe the minions even access them, so they can't use those materials to build anything you set up. It's only useful for the cooking station, but inevitably that is way too small and you need an upgraded chest to store all ingredients. And the chests you start off with are Very. Tiny. They did introduce a storage that lets you stack One Item beyond it's usual stack and then withdraw stacks from it, but you have to manually do that every single time. The label for your chests also doesn't extend to being viewable where near it. So...you gotta click on every thing to check it. Which will quickly become tedious when you realise how many resources you need to swap for other resources to keep going. I did play it on normal difficulty with the survival mechanics on which were not really much of a challenge and I only felt inclined to make it more "cozy" because I was getting tired of having to cook when I need to grind resources, then all the leeches and weeds felt more annoying then something to care about. I never built a single defensive structure. I could go on. Even the relationship mechanics when finally introduced were shallow and boring. I had to cut a pickle??? Once a day??? Then press three buttons that light up in a row??? That's without going into all the narrative stuff, which if you care about that stuff the game is not worth it at all. Even without any bias it was just not given much consideration or depth and felt like it suffered from classic early access issues in general, where newly updated narrative elements and game flow didn't mesh with previous updates. Starts out strong, but just becomes grindy with little reason to enjoy the basebuilding or engage with it.
Really enjoying this game, glad I finally got around to it. I really liked the demo, and have had my eye on it since. Now that I've finally started... I am SO hooked. I AM FUTURE is not really hard or challenging or even particularly deep mentally (altho it can be a little complex or overwhelming, in a good way, at times), and outside of the first few minutes you'll probably have plenty of food and supplies to keep threats at bay so its not really even hard to actually survive... but It's just very satisfying to play. I cannot stress this point enough. TLDR: If you love the idea of unscrewing all the screws in a microwave to get access to its pieces one at a time that you can then use to build something else like a robot or upgrade your power generator... BUY THIS GAME NOW. Basically you wake up and the world is destroyed and you're surrounded by scrap and mean plants. You need to collect, salvage, break-down, dis-assemble, and then rebuild A LOT of stuff. You do all of this while keeping your health up and your stomach full. You farm, fish, cook, upgrade, discover, explore... and even kind of defend against some invasive critters and plants. There's actually a lot more than I'm mentioning, this game definitely has a lot of moving parts. Pro Tip: Make more storage, you are gonna need it. Sure there's like dozens of games that do all that, but I AM FUTURE feels unique in many ways from the setting to how the game play it self works and feels. It does a great job setting itself apart in ways that other games could only try and fail. Its a difficult point to put into words but I think its really got that X variable that makes a game better than the sum of its parts. Unlike a lot of games in this genre, I AM FUTURE's actions do NOT have some kind of energy bar that then forces you to end the day. You don't even NEED to sleep! EVER! You can choose to sleep to heal or speed up the passage of time but you never need to actually do this. The only metric to your progress is exploring and finding the right key and regular parts you need to upgrade your tools. It is a joy to finally upgrade your hammer or drill and know that now you have a huge area you can just completely dismantle, rebuild and make your own. Sometimes I just wanna spend huge amounts of time drilling and unscrewing everything in sight. There's also a lot you can do as far as character customization and customizing how your area looks. The story might not be the strongest ever, but it feels more like a soft guiding hand to kinda just nudge you in the right direction... mostly you'll be on your own to figure out where something is, how to get to it, and then actually accomplish that. All in all I just find the game very fun and it definitely scratches an itch, or several, in a huge, huge way... at a very low price point, who could ask for anything more? I have not had any bugs or glitches or crashes or anything like that in 10 hours so far, and I'm probably about 1/2 through the story, but not anywhere near done with my dream of dismantling EVERYTHING. If you like hardcore survival you might feel a bit let down, if you're more of fan of cozy games with exploration then I'd recommend this even more.
Still feels a little like it is still in early access. the game play gets quite a bit grindy from to time and never really feels like it hits the right buttons some game mechanics and ideas looks to have potential, it just never live up to those.
I like this game! you can turn your brain off and just zone out, especially if you like tidying up and base design. There are some challenges and it can get a little grindy, some of the tasks are repetitive, but it's a game i play every now and then, not for consecutive 10 hours lol. It's cozy enough.
The game is OK as a survival game; really not in my top 10 by any stretch and very casual/simple. The art style is probably the strongest element of the game overall. The biggest frustration is data collection: even after turning off data analytics, the game still uploads a LOT of data. Saving breaks if the server is offline, opening a chest is very laggy after a while, exiting the game from the main menu can take multiple minutes for some reason.
Game is very cozy, indeed. Story is ok, characters are good. Good sense of progression. Just the patch up the roof is a real grinding pain in the ass achievement.
