About
Greetings Enforcer, and thank you for enlisting in the Hypnospace Patrol Department! As the corporatocracy sleeps, outlaws are out there committing terrible transgressions all across our beloved Hypnospace, and these virtual streets aren't going to police themselves!
Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.
So slip on your Hypnospace Headband™, and keep these key directives in mind:
Crawl through Cyberspace: Scour the darkest corners of the Web for scumbag users who violate Hypnospace law!
Dangers and delights: Download groovy GIFS and MIDI files, but watch out for adware, toolbars and hackers!
Treasure hunting: Do your job to earn Hypnocoins, or ignore your inbox and go hunting for hidden pages, downloads and secrets!
Relive your childhood: Equip obnoxious screensavers and skins for your desktop, and wiggle your mouse pointer around to make pages load faster!

One of the best games i've played, won't forget it ever. The aesthetic, OST and character building are second to none.
This is actually my second playthrough of this game. The first time I played it was on the Xbox. So, I came back to it this year and made it my mission to get everything done, everything found, and be able to find satisfaction in saying, "Yeah, I completed that." This is not a typical game. And yet, it feels good to play it and try to solve "crimes" while following what's going on with a company that is trying to do something huge and not prepared for it. I highly recommend people play this game if you haven't already because it is not only a decent challenge to find everything in the nook and crannies of Hypnospace, but the third act is a huge curveball that will have you wanting to get to the end so the "bad guy" can get his just desserts.
this is one of my favourite games ever i love playing my internet browser
Hypnospace Outlaw is another computer simulation game I've finished in my question to play retro sims with stories. In this game, you play an internet moderator and regulate the submission of users who access the Hynopspace software. Through four different time periods, learn about the users of Hynospace and what they're passionate about. Particularly touching are the memorial pages. It reminds me so much of Ye Olde Internet of the 2000s and I had a blast looking at all the old goofy graphics and images, the flash animation, animated gifs and ADOPTABLES, my god, what a throwback to forum culture! It's a decently tough game with lots of pages to search through and read and so many things you can download and interact with. I messed up one of the achievements so I'm definitely going to go back and give it a go. Do not look past this game, it's truly a wonder.
Wild game, takes you back to the 00s internet.
Brings you back with an impeccable retro internet sense of humor <3
Played this on Xbox during lockdown and loved it so much that I'm gladly replaying again. Wholly unique and somehow nostalgic.
This straight up blew me away, one of the best super late night games. I don't think theres a game that even comes close to scratching this itch while also being a game not a visual experience sorta thing
expected a silly and strange romp. spent half an hour confused, got severely absorbed in the story, and finished it deeply in tears. amazing game
If you haven't bought this yet, why not?
