Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form! This is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen.
⚔️ Melvor Idle Review 🐉
This game feels much deeper than most idle games I’ve played. Things like boss fights actually need planning, making sure you’ve got the right resources stocked up and the right skills levelled before jumping in. I’d even go as far as saying this is my favourite idle game to this day and I’ve played a lot of idle games over the years. A work colleague showed me this game around 7–8 years ago as something to pass the time when bored. I’d never even heard of idle games before, and when I was shown Melvor… my mind was blown! I played itt in the browser for years before finding out it was on Steam, so I had to pick it up here too. Melvor gave me RuneScape vibes straight away, which definitely helped keep me interested. The game can be very very slow though. There are mods out there to speed things up, but personally I stayed away from them and just played the game on and off over the years. One downside I found is there is so much to collect and complete that some things take forever. This game 100% requires patience, and I mean a lot of patience. I know most idle games are meant to be like that, but Melvor takes it to another level. On the plus side, after playing this, every other idle game feels fast and easy lol. I’ve got a few saves on regular playthroughs and two hardcore runs. Some saves were mainly focused on making money which I did by selling fishing and cooking, while others were more like test runs to try different gear strategies. I even ended up making one setup that was ridiculously overpowered and melted everything, which was great fun! Hardcore is where the game gets really interesting. If you die, that’s basically it game over and start again. At that point planning matters a lot more, and being smart with your gear and progression becomes massive. I used the Wiki and Discord quite a bit for guidance, I did die twice, but third try was a charm! I’m proud to say I’ve now got 100% achievements!!! and honestly, this is probably my proudest 100% game. If you enjoy levelling skills, crafting gear, farming unique drops and using those rare drops to push combat further, then I think you’ll love Melvor. It’s heavily AFK and heavily based around patience, but the price is absolutely worth it for the base game and DLC's. Get your gear on and go take down some bosses 🏹
Tip: If you want to find more reviews like this, check out our curator page Moon's Tea House
吹过头的游戏。作为挂机游戏,我甚至第二天都不想打开看。还好没买DLC。
I've purchased this awhile back and it just wasn't that interesting to me. I've made 2 or 3 profiles and they all just got boring to me. I finally put in the time and effort to learn the game and it finally stuck and became fun. I really enjoy just checking the progress throughout the day (on PC or mobile) and changing what I'm working on for those hours that I'm offline. I find it absolutely hilarious that there is a popular guide called "What to level first". This is an idle game everybody, there is absolutely no reason to rush to the end game. This is the unfortunate problem with some gamers who cannot stand the grind, but yet they buy an idle game. I guess it's my age, but I do enjoy the grind because the progression is always nice to see without instant gratification.
At first, it seemed complicated, but in reality, there's nothing scary about this idol. It's enjoyable, interesting, and offers numerous possibilities, especially with the addition of accessories. One of the most significant advantages, in my opinion, is the ability to play on your phone. It's incredibly convenient to go to bed with one task, switch to another on your way to work, and complete a third task in the evening. One of the huge advantages is that the offline timer lasts for 24 hours, so there's no annoying mobile limit where games like this are set to 4 hours, 3 hours, or 6 hours. As a fan of such projects, I'm currently delighted.
First off thank you Terry for introducing me to this little gem. so much fun clicking and watching numbers go up! I don't know what i was doing with my life before this. This game is so addicting, my Nigerian princess girlfriend is gonna be upset that i am spending so much time doing this. I love that it is idle and i can just press one button and just watch things happen. OMG what an experience! I love that i can play it on the go too! The graphics are stellar. I mean have you ever seen such sick looking icons to click on! With games like this i'm glad i don't have real friends, they would just get in the way of all this watching stuff happen with just a click! Well bye for now, my mom says i have to go to bed,(big day tomorrow watching my progress). More to post after i put in some more time! Wow im pooped from all this intensive gameplay! NIGHT make believe friends.
Great entry to the idle genre. Level ups scratches the same dopamine itch as Runescape. Progression systems are coherent and satisfying. Mods allow for flexible adjustment of gameplay settings and additions of fun skills to play around with. Worth every penny.
Cool Spread-sheet game, to passively level during Work/School. 8.5/10

Au top ! J'attends le 2 avec impatience ;-)
