This game is fun. Boss monsters are a challenge, Playing with a full squad is a lot of fun. There is some indie jank, but that's fine, and it doesn't interfere with the fun. Being able to leap and attack monster from above and stun them feels amazing, especially if you are able to land the finishing blow with that. This game is probably good for 40-60 hours, which is great value for the $10 I paid. I do wish more multiplayer games would do 4-pack discounts as that would make it easier to get people to play these indie titles.

So first impression: It is a fun platformer game with the graphics of deep rock, and the grind of Monster Hunter (In a good way). Very rarely will I ever get bored and that is usually because I hulk jump around the map to find secrets. I do understand that this game is in early access; but if I can help provide a list of things they can do to make the game more fun and appealing, I will. 1.) Character models should resemble the artwork given. Maybe they are working on that but I would love to see the bulky Orcs with that style of art in the game. 2.) Perhaps have the armory or smithy be where you can build armor as currently you have to use the crafting table for that. That said, some tabs for each class' weapons and items would be appreciated. It is a tad cluttered. 3.) More mob diversity. I love the wolves, Raptahs, and spiders but we definitely need more. Give me boars, Rhinos, mammoths, and the like to fight. The same can be said for bosses too. I love them but add more flavor to this awesome cake! 4.) More dialogue. Please, I beg of you, I can only handle so much of the line: It's not easy being green or say hello to my little sword. 5.) The sieges are fun but probably need their own map as the items are too spread out. Maybe see how you can blend the Rampage mechanics from MonHun Rise and see what you can do with it. 6.) A few more maps. Maybe it is because I am a low level but the three maps are great but there are only three. I would love a beach/island, volcano, or even a cave map. That would be neat. 7.) Turn off the Goblin tutorial dialogue option. Overall: It is a fun game where you smack things like a neanderthal. Just as god intended.
A really good indie game, that I feel is the closest thing to spicing up the formula a bit of hunting monster much like the Monster Hunter series. I bought this back when it was in Early Access, and tried it out with a couple friends that got the demo. It is indeed janky, but in a silly and charming way to me at least. I try a small piece every now and then after a few updates, and get impressed with the new things they added. So far, I wanted to limit myself to just hunting the Razan (Crocodile) as the only monster I kill till I can convince my friends to get the game, once I feel it's in a spot they'll enjoy. In the meantime, I highly support anything I can get my hands on that plays close to the Monster Hunter formula. Some of the artstyle/ models does clash against other artstyles/ models, perhaps difference in model making, or model purchasing, but it doesn't bother me much. I haven't tried the multiplayer since the demo, so I can't comment how that plays out. Overall, this is a game I'm glad I supported, and I await more updates in the future before trying out even more of this game.
I played the demo of this and came back for more along with buying the supporter pack (during winter sale but still) This gives me the feel of a Deep Rock Galactic/Monster Hunter experience. I like getting into a hunt as quick as you would a dive and not have to do all the grinding monster hunter requires. The world being open and you just hulk jumping around is fun. The artic levels having you jump up and down icy slide-y mountain was a fun platforming aspect. The combat isn't too complex out the gate but was still a enjoyable to me. Being able to pick up your arrows and spears along with finding some along the way adds a nice amount of resource management. Overall I've had a really good time with this game and thinks it worth the price especially if you'd like to support a game that has good heart and feel. Looking forward to playing more wit da Boyz! or Gurlz or whoever as long as the bring the dakka!
For a few days in a row now, I have been the only person on. Bugs aside, the game is fun and I bet would be even more fun with other players taking agro, but at the moment that is not is not a factor I can really test. 6/10 - Lacking content, player base, and UX bugs. Base combat it good, would be better in a party.
My time says I only played for 25 minutes but I played the Betas for a lot more hours. Probably why I was burnt out when it finally came to EA. I believe my input gave them the inspiration for the "blood trails" mechanic when hunting down the monsters. This game is very much like if Deep Rock Galactic wanted to be Monster Hunter, except instead of dwarfs you play as orcs. Last time I played, there were no classes and no secondary weapons, but a decent about of upgrades for primary weapons. Now it should be better than what I was used to, but I was waiting for more to come back to while I tried out other games in my library. (Posting a comment I made on one of their threads) They didn't announce it on Steam yet, but on the Discord the devs just announced that they were canceling any more updates on the game. It had very minimal retention for those who bought it and so they are cutting their losses and stopping where it's at. I guess people like myself were to blame. Which is a shame, because this game had a ton of potential. Unfortunately, it shipped to EA with a lot of stuff still unfinished that would've made it more replayable. Hopefully it will find new life later on, but as for now it seems that it is in EA Hell. I still recommend.
