Fantastic Game and love this just as much as or more than the Civilisation series. Graphics are amazing and gameplay mechanic is spot on. Love those big battles!

This game offers an interesting take on the 4X strategy formula, by allowing You to construct and evolve Your cultural identity throughout the whole gametime. Just because Your people became the Olmecs in ancient times, does not mean they will remain as such once knights and castle come along. Nor will the English always launch satellites, simply because they discovered the New World. And choosing Culture is not the only way to personalize Your story. Throughout the game, Your peoples identity, tracked on four separate axis (Individualistic - Collective, Homeland - Global, Liberty - Order, Tradition - Progress) will be shifting, as You adopt new Civics, respond to narrative events and grow Your religion through new Tenets. Visually, You can see as Your cities sprawl out with new districts, especially those emblematic to given era. TL;DR: If You are looking for a strategy game that focuses on the emergent story, this is the best one. It is definitely worth buying if You are a fan of the genre looking for different take on systems You're used to, but I would also say it's a way better introduction to those systems than any of its competitors.
If you miss the vibe of the early Civ games, definitely grab Humankind. It completely nails that classic, addictive "just one more turn" feeling of building an empire from the ground up. The progression is awesome, and it captures that old-school strategy magic perfectly. Super easy to lose track of time with this one.
1 croissant for dev team from me <3 Game is great, me and my friends enjoyed playing it!
Humankind is quite a Unique 4X. It made strong choices that can Rebuke some players that know the genre and have their preferences. I played a lot of Civilization and other 4x's and I loved it. The different Culture Choices are great and flavourful. I really love this game and have played many games. Give it a try with an Open Mind and you it could become your favourie 4x too :)
