Dead or Alive? Make up your mind, stranger. We don’t like that undead business here in Louisiana…Survive solo or with friends as you look to fulfill your basic needs of food, water and shelter, crafting your own tools and weapons while you secure your camp and face flesh hungry zombies.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first game did everything better.
Bad progression design, by the time I realized I got weaker by just grinding stuffs, I stopped caring.

Yo! No idea why its only "mixed"... you may read things like "pay 2 win" and people complaining about timers, or that there isnt any story and the such, but ignore those. As someone who played and completed the first one, as well as owning this game for years and playing it a lot too, let me tell you whats really the case here. - No its NOT pay 2 win, you can do just fine without DLC weapons and pets. Its making it easier, yes, but you dont need it, especially when playing by yourself or with friends. - People down voting it because of timers are the same kind who down vote survival or horror games for lack of ammunition. Guys, as if you NEVER had a timer in any game. It is adding a sense of urgency, not every quest has timers either. Lower the difficulty of the level, run past enemies, ask a friend to help via controller or literally anything. You will have plenty of time for any objective. - Yeah there isnt really a story, it has several NPCs with their own mini stories and rewards as well as seasonal stories. Its supposed to be more sandbox and honestly... for 15 bucks you cant really complain about it. Its pretty chill, plus it has 4 player couch co-op, what game has that these days? If you really want, wait for a sale or something. Its not a bad game. Its very grindy, but so is almost every game (especially survival ones). If its not yours, dont get it. if you are interested but you arent sure if its yours, get it on sale, but give it a chance. Personally I hope there will be a third game someday. 7/10

very fun, especially the couch co-op with friends & xbox controllers work great.
 The bare minimum
How to Survive 2 is a disappointing sequel, plain and simple. While it starts on a somewhat promising note, it very quickly devolves into this never-ending, soul-wrenchingly grindy slop. It is one of those games from the survival genre that people often (rightfully so) meme on - ZOMBIE! SURVIVAL! CRAFTING! OPEN WORLD! (EARLY ACCESS!) All keywords which, when combined together, often result in a concoction of sh*tty game elements slapped together in laziest way imaginable for the sole purpose of the developer making a few bucks and then moving on.
I've already told you how dangerous it is if you don't drink or eat when you're in hostile terrritory... But there's something else that's at least as dangerous: negative thinking and a lack of prospects!
Ever since the start of the game, it will be clear to you that it does not really want to be taken too seriously as evidenced by the jovial narrator, Kovac. However, just like it does not work in his case, so it doesn't when it comes to the game as a whole. You start with a few interesting premises: 1) building your own base and crafting your own items, 2) exploring instance-based hand-crafted areas and 3) possibly bringing it others to assist you. However, you very quickly realize that the core gameplay loop stops being fun after about 2-3 missions. You will always use the same exact animations to kill zombies with no real variation, you will perpetually be locked in this unending cycle of "gather-craft-gather again" which can be acceptable, if that core loop FEELS good but it simply doesn't. Couple that with the developers' lack of interest in providing even basic game settings (no graphics options for you), you will very swiftly understand that How to Survive 2 is nothing but a generic and boring slop that provides nothing new to the genre and that you can be very comfortable skipping. Just slightly though - Ugly and uninteresting graphical style

+ The amount of things to craft - Stiff and unpleasant animations

+ Initial feeling - No voice acting apart from Kovac who is not as entertaining as the guy who wrote him would have you believe

- No graphics options, leaving you to go diving into the game's files in hoping to fix up the resolution

- Insanely repetitive and grindy gameplay

- Boring mission design
