Ooblets had an incredibly controversial launch, despite an so much excitement for it's release. The gameplay is good fun, but the lack of updates from the developers makes this game hard to recommend.
8/10 Better than slime rancher but wait for a sale. Am I having fun? yes, more than I expected? yeah actually. I spent weeks watching streamers play and even waited years after it was released and thought I'd finally get the game myself, but there's a lot of small concerns. the opening screen every time you launch still saying 2024 spring update was a red flag. Pathing of npc's in game is "playable" but frustrating and silly, to bump them to move out of a T pose or go way around a building to talk since thats how you are right in front. The pacing also feels a little odd but that could be me comparing it to a farming game and not a battle pet game. I enjoy it and love it as a farm game thats not all about marrying and having a family. I am bummed there are unreleased oobs since the dev's got sucky or something? hope it gets some attention again one day.
My lil comfort game. So cutie. The names for everything is literally so creative and SO CUTE. I have lots of good things to say about this game. I always go back to it!
This game OOZES with cuteness and charm. Its wholesome, fun, the Ooblets are adorable and the idea of having dance battles instead of fights fits right in and Is also super cute However, the game feels a bit like a Jack-of-all-Trades-Master-of-none. The farming feels pretty slow and shallow, but you need crops for virtually anything in this game. Making money, fulfilling the quest wich mostly seem to be fetch-quest, and worst of all in my opinion: For the creature collecting part of the game. So especially early game will feel incredibly slow because you can't do anything really while waiting for your crops to grow. Wanna go questing? You need the crops. Wanna tame Ooblets? Need crops. Now since the game is not timed and from what I've read also does not have seasons you could just sleep again and again until the crops are grown, but the day is split into multiple parts, and instead if sleeping to the next day immediatly you instead take a nap until the next part of the day, snd only once you can reach night you can actually sleep to the next day. Id not consider myself impacient, but this is a level of slowness that could not really hook me. Still giving this a thumps up because other then the pacing I think the game is really cute and fun
This game is fun and simple and pretty addictive. I wish they continued with the updates, because I felt like it had some longevity. But alas. If you like whimsical creature collectors this is your game!
I played nonstop XD! my dance club is the cutest >:3
Wanted to love it so bad but the music was driving me insane. Did we only have that one option devs? Cute game but could be even better made by some updates.
Do you like creature collections games, card games, farming sims, and battle arenas that involve dancing? This is the game for you.
LOVE this game! Super cute, super chill; a very cozy experience. I love that you can run a li'l shop in town and sell stuff, though I do wish there was more upgrades for it, like maybe a radio to play ooblet tunes that would make shoppers more likely to buy certain items (depending on the song.)
god tier, its perfect. buy it. <3
