Horse Paradise - My Dream Ranch

I really want to like this game and grind up all the horses and levels and things, but you really just hit a wall and it becomes impossible. As you level up you get less and less from racing to the point where you can't even make a profit. Then your only option becomes free runs but those take much longer, and the game will generate jump patterns which are impossible to make. Plus there are no iframes when you hit something, so you can end up losing 2 lives before getting control of your horse again. I know it's silly to want to tryhard this game, but it's also silly that you can't really get beyond lv 21 when there is more content after that.

Surprisingly fun! Play as wild horse. Let me start of by saying, if you're looking for a game with strategy or fighting or a clear end goal with a huge community online daily, this is not for you. The game looks beautiful and the map is large with multiple terrain types. Having a bad day? Feeling lonely? Sad? This game has a calming effect. It completely doesn't matter who you are, in Horse Paradise - My Dream Ranch you're part of a lovely and great community. So, in other words: If you're looking for a calming and relaxing game without any big action or drama but with a feature to communicate with others in a very special way, a beautiful scenery, nice music and an interest selection of cute horses as playable characters, you really should give it a try!

This is a Mobile Game, not fun at all, just a fancy clicking game.

The PC/Steam version of this has long been abandoned at this point while the far more popular mobile editions see constant updates, so I only suggest buying this and its DLC when it goes on steep discount. Note here the developers attaching "My Dream Ranch" to the title is fairly misleading as aside from having a virtual stable of lined up stalls to store your horses in there is no ranch. This is fairly kid-friendly, but to any parents considering buying it for their little ones I strongly suggest Mom or Dad be watching while they play. Public server instances (the default setting for the main area is Online, this can be changed in the Settings) have functional chat that can get weird late at night and there's no report functionality for the creeps. Most of what you'll run into are kids roleplaying being horses from cartoons, but every now and then the odd ones show up. If you're looking at value for money, getting into HP with the intent to max level all of the horses included in the base version would likely take you around 25 hours. There are some in-game achievements in the fashion of a story mode which can be repeated for every horse. Zero tech issues in this revamped edition apart from chat refusing to accept some common keyboard characters and portions of the HUD disappearing upon entering the DLC map areas if you buy those.

This game is just a port of a free mobile game. go ahead and search its name on any app store and its right there for free. do not waste your money on this when you don't even get anything out of it. as much as it appears to be a big open world for rp and playing with your horses its not. you only get one room without a DLC and its very small. the entirety of the game is just a jumping race, and hide and seek. that's it, there's nothing else to do but race and play hide and seek with horse shoes and other objects. don't bother buying for the sake of easier controls either because it doesn't have any, its still tap to move around and interact with things despite being a pc port. also to be noted how a bunch of mobile features like the free gift, account connecting and other things are just plain broken.

Controls are clunky (you can't even direct the horse without clicking) and the play area is super small without any of the DLC packs. :C

This game has some good potentials, since it's a new game and it's also an app game I have some pros and cons for this game. Pros: - Lots of different horses - Simple and easy game for younger players - Horse games... steam doesn't rly have many of those so I like it. Cons: - It's free for phone... so why is it 9.99€ on steam..? - Wow the prize of the dlc's.... No thanks. - It's pretty much just do quests and run out of horseshoes ... rip. I'm gonna try and play this game for more so updating this review when I've played it more and hopefully some updates might come...?
