About
Welcome to the world of Honeycomb! Step into the role of Hennessy, a bioengineer sent to an alien world in search of knowledge that could help secure humanity’s future. Your mission for EON Corp will take you across the vibrant wilderness of Sota7 - a planet filled with unfamiliar ecosystems, extraordinary lifeforms, valuable resources, and dangers you were never trained for.
Sota7 may be beautiful, but it is not harmless. Some creatures may tolerate your presence. Others won’t. Learn when to approach, when to keep your distance, and when running is the smartest experiment you can perform.
From vast open landscapes to hidden underground caverns, Sota7 is home to diverse biomes filled with strange plants and creatures. Study the world around you, learn how its ecosystems work, and uncover the properties of newly discovered species. Curiosity is one of your greatest tools - but on Sota7, getting too close can have consequences.
Discovery is only the beginning. Use bioengineering to synthesize unique plant properties and manipulate animal DNA to trigger fascinating physical changes. Experiment with different combinations, analyze the results, and use what you learn to push your research further. The right breakthrough could change your mission - or humanity’s future.
But a scientist needs more than a notebook. Gather resources and establish a base where you can live, work, craft, and conduct experiments. Expand your facilities as your research grows and use your tools to help turn your designs into a functioning base of operations. Build what you need, where you need it, and prepare for longer expeditions into the unknown.
Every expedition is an opportunity. Search Sota7 for useful materials, craft the equipment you need, and keep an eye out for resources that can improve your chances of survival. The deeper you venture, the more you’ll need to understand the planet - and prepare for what might be waiting there. Because remember - the environment isn’t always your best friend.
Exploration - Sota7 has vast, diverse biomes, each with different plants and animals for you to discover. Scan various flora and fauna to learn more about this world and how you can adapt to survive in it.
Crossbreeding - as an EON-certified bioengineer, you are qualified to perform various experiments, from synthesizing plant properties to mutating animal traits! And who knows, maybe the answer to Earth’s Eco Crisis lies on Sota7?
Building - a scientist, especially on an alien planet, needs their base of operations. IVS will provide you with blueprints needed to live comfortably and efficiently.
Survival - as beautiful as Sota7 is, it is still a completely new world with its own rules and adversities. Perform research in order to discover how to make sure you don’t perish during your mission.

I wanted to like this game. I really really did. It's exactly up my alley. But the controls and UI felt clunky and hard to play and to me it played and felt more like an early access game than a finished product.
Hello I was playing this game yesterday 09/12/26 for 6hrs then closed the game turned off my computer. Turned on my computer the next day 09/13/26 loaded the game and 1-2 mins after I hit continue the game crashes no errors no warning just closes and Steam see it closed and gives me the option to play the game again. I went thru this cycle for 5 tries and gave up. nothing has changed in my computer all drivers are up to date as they were yesterday. the only difference is time. the computer was turned off so no updates were done. Can you please fix this error so I can PLAY THE GAME. Also I am posting this here cause I could not send this in as a "bug" from the game UI! just tried 09/13/2026 on another computer that has better specs. still crashes no warning no errors. Almost two hours in and it is a very cozy survival game. It is a game inspirited by ***nautica. Just enjoy it.
The game looks cute and run fine on steamdeck, but it lacks far too much in its gameplay for now. It's alpha EA for me, and I'll wait a few month before touching it again and hopefully fix my review, but for now, I won't recommend it
First 3 minutes into the game, crash. Haven't had a game crash since early 2000's. Ok start again, crash. Crash. Then it starts up in TSR mode and was previously on FSR. NOW it's stable, no crash. Ok lesson learned. Beginning tutorial is a joke. Tells you to find titanium with no marker. I wonder around and around without the ability to craft food or drink, fell 3 times in the dark, breaks your ankle so you can't sprint. Now I'm walking so slowly and into a pack of wolves with no way to defend myself all the while NO titanium to complete the first task. I'm not about hand holding but that's totally stupid. $25 to get annoyed and stressed out? Yea no thanks, refunded, will never touch anything from these people again. Oh and even with FSR off, god forbid I try clicking anything in the menu, guess what, kicks you out to Windows. Given all the games I play and my PC specs I've never had such a horrible experience before. Ever!
I noticed a lot of the negative reviews were around the food system, which I also found frustrating at first.. What I was missing is the fact that all fruits/plants you encounter you can remove the seeds from and keep those for planting yourself. It is true that food does perish pretty quickly- until it is cooked, then it can last quite a bit of time. And even more, once you've progressed a little you get a refrigerator that stops regression completely. Another thing that took me a moment to figure out is that each plant has it's own individual timer- but all plants I have encountered do bloom once a day. So yes, the food system can feel frustrating and punishing until you actually figure it out, but once you get the hang of it it's not that hard to keep your food stocked. Save seeds and plant them at your base, and keep track of timers to know when they're going to bloom next. Then you can just grab them off immediately and throw them in the fridge to prevent any regression. Building materials are easy to come by and respawn pretty quickly, and I have enjoyed the cute interactions with some of the animals you encounter. A small side thing I did not like is the fact your original base is required to be placed in a specific location. You can make additional bases later, but it's just a little thing I was not a big fan of. Over all, I like the game and personally find it relaxing.
Overall a very nice game. Very casual, exploration-heavy. The environment contains some threats but its not enough to become too stressful, and dying (passing out) doesn't have too bad of a penalty, you simply drop some items that you can get back by visiting the spot where you died. The mechanics are nice and intuitive. Its very much like a more casual subnautica, which is not a bad thing to me. I love exploring and taking the time to learn new things. The genetics are a huge plus, I'm probably going to spend forever collecting all of the species of plants and animals that I can. I have a few suggestions for quality of life improvements and gameplay improvements though. If something is in fact already in the game and I just haven't found it yet, please ignore it. Gameplay: - Multiplayer would be fantastic if possible. I'd love to play this with my sibling. - I'd love for the bugs and amphibians to do more! Crossbreeding them too perhaps? QOL: - Being able to label or customize the lockers for organization purposes - A toggle-able snapping tool to cleanly line up things in the player's base - Unless it messes with balancing, something that collects the items the creatures drop would be very nice. A placeable item that sucks in the items within a certain radius maybe? - Being able to sort inventory by type instead of name or durability would be very appreciated. So that all tools stay at the top, the seeds and plants stay together, the metals and materials stay together, etc. - Auto sorting instead of having to push the button? Maybe we can select how we'd like it to be sorted and it does it as we add items to the inventory? If possible, of course. Feel free to ignore all of these suggestions, but if any of them at all are considered or kept in mind I'd be grateful!
(recebi a chave do desenvolvedor)
i love that you can pet animals and that the water current will carry you downstream, quite unique. world is great. im not great the surviving part tho
The game is very pretty and I am having fun, though I did have to restart because all of the animals disappeared. The mechanics do remind me of another game, but that doesn't bother me as I enjoy this type of game. The only downfall to me is that according to the developer the game is only roughly 12 - 20 hours depending and I prefer games with more of an epic scale. The price point does seem a bit high for what you get, but not outrageously so. I haven't had any performance issues as yet, but I am not super far into it. I played the demo and didn't have any issues there either.
