As the head of a cutting-edge spacefaring company in 2020, your mission is to profit from the exploration and industrialization of our solar system. Each turn, make crucial decisions that will shape your strategy—perform key actions, move your rocket, and advance your company’s technological prowess.
High Frontier 4 All invites you to lead Earth's spacefaring factions in the ultimate race to industrialize the solar system. Bid for cutting-edge space technology patents and launch your rockets into Low Earth Orbit (LEO), where water serves as both currency and fuel. Strategically build and fuel your rockets to explore planets, asteroids, and more. Claim, prospect, and transform distant worlds into industrial hubs by establishing factories that produce vital resources.
Compete against other players over 48 turns (spanning 48 years) to earn victory points by making off-world claims, building factories, and achieving exploration milestones. The more you industrialize, the higher your stock prices soar, pushing you closer to victory!
With each turn representing a year, the game unfolds through Sunspot Cycles, offering diverse strategies and gameplay with multiple modules. Follow a structured, immersive ruleset that ensures no two games are the same. Whether you’re racing for glory or constructing a thriving space empire, High Frontier 4 All offers deep strategy, endless replayability, and the ultimate space exploration experience.
Differences & Missing Features from the board game
Pathfinding:
• While paths may not always be perfect, we are actively working on further enhancements.
Unlimited Structures:
• There is no limit to the number of outposts, claims, colonies, factories, and rockets that a player can have.
Scientific Fuel Calculation:
• Fuel calculation now uses the scientific rocket equation instead of the abstracted board game version.
Astrobiology, Atmospheric, and Submarine Site Features:
• Limited implementation.
First Player Privilege:
• Not available.
Solar Oberth Flyby:
• Treated as a regular hazard.
Lander Hazards:
• Currently functions like regular lander.
Rotating Heavy Radiator Components:
• No way to rotate heavy radiator components to their light side.
• If they should rotate automatically, they will instead be decommissioned.

Experience is horrible. I wonder if at least one team member tried playing it and compared playtime and accessibility with board game.
This... this... is... i don't have words... this is a sad joke not an.. app...? Please note that: High Frontier - board game - IS my FAVOURITE GAME! I not mad... I'm dissapointed Will request refund...
Game keeps returning to launch menu while attempting to setup/play a game. I could not locate any instructions on how to play the game in the game. Additionally, the gameplay video menus and UI do not match the game itself.
I was really looking forward for a proper PC version of High Frontier 4 All as I adore the board game. But only a few minutes spent in the game itself revealed a huge disappointment. The UI alone tells you that High Frontier 4 All is a direct mobile port. The buttons are HUGE and cannot be resized - there are no real menus as you would expect for a complex PC game. The rules are also not true to the board game. Everything is streamlined to a degree that it lost the spirit of its inspiration. The GFX are workable but why you would change the iconography from the board game is beyond me. The background music loops after a minute or so and gets annoying fast. All in all a huge disappointment. I will refund. I can't believe this went by Phil Eklunds QA.
There doesn't appear to be any instructions on how to play the game at all. There doesn't appear to be any AI you can play against, only multiplayer or the solo variant. As far as I can tell, none of the modules are implemented. The many changes in the "Differences & Missing Features from the board game" section are disappointing but the developers have hinted this might be changed to more closely match the board game. I don't know if this has been done yet.
This must be a joke
I saw the reviews but thought "maybe I'm less fussy" because I really would love automation support and for solo play just having all the labels facing me would be great. Well...refund requested. As a random example of how truly bewilderingly bad the UI is (like 'how did anyone think this was good for even a moment?' bewildering) The list of things you can do on your turn is in a round menu at the lower left and only 3 things are shown, if you want to do something not shown like sell cards you have to think to rotate that control (that doesn't look at all like it's meant to rotate) so a menu of just 6 things only shows 3 at once and you have to do extra operations to get to other options. Fail at just the most basic usability. As for the sorts of niceties you might wish for from digitalization like "tell me how many cards there are that support this" or even just right click context info of any sort--zilch.
Eu tinha a intenção de aprender a jogar com esse app, mas ele não tem um tutorial e isso mata o que seria, ao meu ver, o grande atrativo dele.
This is my favorite boardgame so it was an instant buy so i can play with friends who live in another city. Immediately we were all frustrated trying to figure out how to do anything that we knew how to do in the physical copy. I haven’t had this much frustration since I tried to use FreeCad for 3d modeling. I know how to use other CAD programs but nothing made sense. Operations failed and I didn’t understand why? In this implementation there are NO tips or hints. No search function or how to’s. High Frontier is massively complicated yet there are no rules available in here???? Why put out this version without rules? I love and know the game, imagine how a newbie would find this? It felt nearly impossible for me. The interface is so frustrating. The only way I could view this without feeling irritated was on my 65” tv. On my laptop it was far too busy with stars and hardly visible routes. Adjusted path colors which helped however common routes and signposts were missing. The menus and rotating action dial are so intuitive. Why has the fuel strip been changed from the original game? I’ve Played for hours and still don’t really understand visually how weight is affecting the burns? WHY CAN’T THE SCREEN BE ZOOMED OUT TO SEE ENTIRE BOARD AT ONCE???? Inventory was my biggest peeve. WHY CANT PATENT CARDS BE RESIZED??? WHY CANT YOU SEE THEM ALL AT ONCE??? WHY IS IT A SCROLL WHERE YOU CAN ONLY SEE 2 CARDS AT ONCE??? I’m visual and need to see all my chains and requirements all at once in a glance like the auction screen. It felt like playing the game Memory as a kid. For Gods sake please add a back or undo button that can be used during my own turn. Game is punishing enough and glitchy so getting locked into a bad move because of a glitch is computer smashingly frustrating. And the game glitched every time I’ve played. We haven’t made it through a full game yet. Last game in turn 35 we got booted and it didn’t save. Previous game had a vibrating screen and frozen screen. Game wouldn’t reset. I wish the expansions were part of this as an option. They seem necessary for deep space exploration which provides the most fun for me. Get the base game refined first though. I want to like this. PLEASE tell me this is going to get much much better or I’m going to have to get a refund. If you turn off all the games diehard fans there is not much hope for the digital versions success.
