A good game full of rythms and comics. End Boss is very tricky I didn't get the mechanics. I admit it, the only time i used accessible option to make it easy to beat the game. Lots to do after the story.

Sucker for good boss fights and this game isn't short of them. Not sure how this fell under my radar as a fan of hack and slash and rhythm games. It's oozing with personality art-wise and quippy writing will either have you rolling your eyes or chuckling depending on your taste. All in all it's a really great game for the price. Definitely worth playing through especially when the story doesn't take too long to finish.

Remember playing some kick ass music while playing Devil May Cry or Bayonetta or God of War and syncing up your attacks to the music? Well, Hi Fi Rush is that, but you get BONUSES for being good at that exact thing. Seriously, it's criminal that this game isn't as hyped up as it should be. I think Yahtzee said it best in his (I think) Bayonetta review on Zero Punctuation when he coined the term for this type of beat 'em up as a 'spectacle fighter', and this game REALLY capitalizes on the spectacle part. Super stylized fun!

Excellent music, addictive gameplay, and a warm story about friendship in a world driven by greed and corporations. Lovely. This game gave me the journey I needed, and it also expanded my playlist with some fantastic tracks.
