The concept of combing Civilization with deckbuilding is a great idea that works well. My only issue is that I want a more ambitious version of this game. The tech tree is small, the games are short, and the options that would add variability are limited. So while I've had a lot of fun, I wish the game had more replayability. But given the price I paid, I'm satisfied.
== CON == Graphics make it look like a cheap mobile game. The graphics make a disservice to the quality of the game. == PRO == Game is actually awesome. I'm starting to prefer it over Civ6. - every civ is immediately VERY different - fast and immediate - great for multiplayer with a friend - better "daily/week" challenges tha Civ6, from a quick look. - weekly campaign mode is pretty cool, with special abilities from points purchased - challenge of the game comes from trying to do better than the other online players, on a given map

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
The Good

Simple and fast 4X. Actions per rounds are limited by your hand. So the scope of your engine building is focused.
The card mechanic is fun. The game is a deck builder at its core. For me, I liked it. When you get a great round due to you building your deck, it's a sweet feeling.

The Bad

Randomness of cards. You are are the mercy of card drafting. Even more by the hand you draw each round.
Missing the one-more-turn feel. Due to the speed of the rounds, it doesn't feel empire building.
Master of none. The game is neither a great card name, nor a good 4x game.

Final Thoughts
Hexarchy is not recommended. Hexarchy offers a bitesize 4X experience. However, for me, I prefer my 4X chunky, deep, and long.
It took me a few times coming back to this game, but now it's one of my favorites. Simple to learn, but hard to master.

Quick, easy to get into, almost casual, yet classic, strategy game. I'm about to up the difficulty (there are 3 more levels) and wonder if it will feel more 4X - though I actually expect it to put more pressure on tactics and application of memorized technology tree [strategy].
Hexarchy is essentially a smaller and faster version of civilization, combining 4X strategy with deck-building mechanics. It manage to capture the appeal of a full civilization-style game without requiring ten-hour sessions, making it much easier to pick up and play. Especially enjoyable with friends. 100% Completion Time : 55H Completion Difficulty : 7/10 Playthroughs : Many scenarios Missables : None Online requirements : Yes - Ranked multiplayer Notable requirements : complete 10 daily challenges, 4 consecutive weekly campaig, finish 1st on many leaderboards, and several challenges achievements.
