Great time waster! The hitboxes could use some tightening up but so far I'm enjoying myself!
Fantastic dungeon crawler
Fast paced and fun. The hidden items are a real challenge sometimes to find. And the "quick quests" can be a little RNG if you get 1 that asks you to kill a certain number of mobs but those mobs don't spawn on that level or you have already cleared most of the rooms. Not my usual type of game but definitely enjoying the change.

Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power is an action roguelite dungeon crawler developed by Orangepixel and published by Orangepixel together with HandyGames. Building upon the foundation of the long-running Heroes of Loot series, this installment expands the formula with deeper character customization, more dynamic combat systems, and a highly replayable progression structure. Rather than simply recreating familiar dungeon-crawling mechanics, the game introduces several fresh ideas that help it stand out in an increasingly crowded roguelite market. The centerpiece of the experience is the titular Gauntlet of Power, a magical artifact that serves as the player's primary combat tool. As players advance through dangerous dungeons, they unlock and equip various weapons that can be attached to the gauntlet, creating unique offensive combinations. This system gives every run a distinct personality, as different weapon arrangements can dramatically alter combat strategies. Some builds focus on overwhelming enemies with rapid-fire attacks, while others emphasize powerful area damage or specialized effects. The constant stream of choices ensures that progression feels meaningful and encourages experimentation from one run to the next. Combat is fast, energetic, and consistently rewarding. Players can choose from multiple hero classes, each offering different strengths and playstyles. Whether controlling a spellcasting wizard, a resilient warrior, or another adventurer, every character benefits from the game's responsive controls and fluid movement. Enemies appear in large numbers, turning encounters into chaotic battles that require both quick reflexes and smart positioning. The action never slows down for long, creating an arcade-like rhythm that keeps players engaged throughout each dungeon run. Procedural generation plays a major role in maintaining long-term appeal. Dungeon layouts, loot drops, enemy placements, and upgrade opportunities change every time a new adventure begins. This unpredictability helps prevent repetition and ensures that players must adapt their strategies rather than rely on a single winning formula. The roguelite progression system further enhances replayability through unlockable content, new character options, special powers, and permanent rewards that gradually expand the overall experience. Exploration is another important aspect of the game. Beyond simply defeating monsters, players are encouraged to search for hidden rooms, secret treasures, valuable merchants, and optional objectives. These discoveries often provide useful rewards or open new possibilities for future runs. The game rewards curiosity and pays homage to classic dungeon crawlers by making exploration feel worthwhile instead of treating it as a secondary feature. This balance between combat and discovery helps create a more satisfying gameplay loop. Visually, Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power embraces retro-inspired pixel art that fits perfectly with its arcade roots. The environments are colorful and easy to navigate, while enemies and projectiles remain clearly visible even when the screen becomes crowded with action. The art style may appear simple at first glance, but it serves the gameplay exceptionally well by prioritizing readability during intense encounters. Combined with energetic sound effects and a fitting soundtrack, the presentation creates a charming old-school atmosphere without feeling outdated. One of the game's greatest strengths is how successfully it combines ideas from several genres. Elements of traditional dungeon crawlers, roguelites, action shooters, and character-building systems blend together into a cohesive package. The progression mechanics constantly provide new goals, while the weapon fusion and upgrade systems deliver enough variety to keep players experimenting for dozens of hours. Every successful run feels earned, and every failure usually teaches valuable lessons that can be applied in future attempts. The game is not entirely without shortcomings. Players who prefer story-driven adventures may find the narrative elements relatively minimal compared to the gameplay-focused design. The random nature of upgrades can occasionally result in runs that feel stronger or weaker than others, depending on luck. Some players may also wish for greater environmental diversity after spending many hours with the game. However, these issues are relatively minor and do little to diminish the overall quality of the experience. Ultimately, Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power succeeds by delivering exactly what a good roguelite should: exciting combat, meaningful progression, and strong replay value. Its inventive gauntlet customization system gives it a unique identity, while the combination of procedural exploration and intense action ensures that every run feels fresh. Fans of dungeon crawlers and roguelites will find a highly addictive adventure packed with creative possibilities and rewarding challenges. Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power is a polished and entertaining roguelite that successfully modernizes classic dungeon-crawling concepts through its inventive weapon customization mechanics, offering a compelling experience that rewards experimentation and repeated play. Rating: 8/10
Have not been able to play as much as I'd like but the couple hours I have were quite fun. It is not a super complicated game so most people should be able to just jump in and start fighting. My favorite things to do so far are test out the new items as I find them and do the timed quests.
aside from the excellent pixel art this is worse than tiny rogues in every possible way. play that instead,
Simple arcade roguelike fun. The weapon positioning and leveling system is fresh and interesting. The only issues I had with the game are all addressed in the current beta. Would recommend for fans of similar games like Brotato.
Such a fun game, with unique mechanics for the player to optimize each run. This game is pretty to play and such a dose of nostalgia connecting with the game of Gauntlet for me.
