Honestly, Hammerwatch 2 gets a lot of flak for being a multiplayer-only game, but single-player is still totally fun—you just have to know what you're getting into. If you are just starting out, the pacing is incredibly slow. At the beginning, you have no gear, you're constantly running out of mana, and you move like you're walking through molasses. You basically have to chip away at enemies, run backward to kite them, and slowly build up your character. But once you get past that initial hump, unlock a few good skills, and get some decent loot, the rhythm gets way better and it actually becomes a really solid, relaxing dungeon crawler to explore on your own. That said, if you have a group of friends? It turns into a total blast. It's a challenging, old-school hack-and-slash. On your own, it’s a slow-burn 7/10 that takes some patience to get into. But grab two or three friends, order some pizza, and the multiplayer easily bumps it up to an 8.5/10 weekend game.
Really good OST and gameplay. Gives that cozy Gauntlet DL vibe which I have never been able to explain.
More upgrades than Heroes of Hammerwatch I, but also fewer interesting choices. Many bosses and floors seem to blend together. The one clear improvement over the original is multiplayer--much more comfortable.
It's a way better version to the first one. there's some minor issues here and there but not something solid that could ruin your gameplay. the only "issue" i could find is the repetitiveness it has because there's not much stuff to do yet and sometimes i feel like going back to Heroes of Hammerwatch 1 to break the loop. there's new stuff announced on the way though so this is probably not gonna be an issue for longer. P.S. Planning a DLC that early without a the game being completely finished is kinda greedy. I'd give the game a solid 7/10 so far
7 pixels of me rippin ahh
Stinky
jeu évolutif, très sympas à jouer à plusieurs. Difficulté évolue rapidement
