HELLMUT: The Badass from Hell

Very arcade-spirited, its pretty much an "Enter The Gungeon" that is (so much) more about playing good gunfights instead of having emphasis on loot management, or if you prefer : Its Doom, the original version, but presented as a top down twinstick shooter with light procedural elements. May seems brutal at the very beginning, but its truly beginner-friendly at core ; its the only big complain to me, the average lack of challenge in the long run. If you are searching a successor for Nuclear Thrones, be aware that procedural / roguelike elements in Hellmut are very light, so i prefer not to compare these two games too much . They are both very action-packed, that's for sure, but not in the same way. Bottomline : Realization is good, gameplay is really cool & solid, if you like arcadey twinstick STG i'd say don't think too much, and buy this right now!

I have played bullet-hells. I have played dungeon crawlers. But when you put them together...YES! So much yes. I'm not very good at these kinds of games, but good lord they are fun. I'm still learning this game, but at this point: I can easily recommend this game! Pros: -Guns. Lots of them! -Characters. Quite a few that are unlockable during your playthrough. I found out you can permanently unlock a new mutation if you beat the game, so good luck! -Playstyles. Each "mutation" (A.k.a Character) has a unique skill and weapon that can really change the way you play. This keeps the game from feeling stale and adds variety to the game. Con: -No multiplayer. Devs have confirmed this is a work-in-progress however, so expect this "con" to go away in the future!

Very polished roguelike dungeon crawler that gets addictive pretty quickly. Its hardcore and it looks gorgeous, quite the two qualities you need from this genre. I am personally more fond of this than Nuclear Throne. Deserves more attention!

Hellmut: The Badass from Hell is a game in the genre of roguelike, which pleases a bunch of drive, action, cool music and a pinch of black humor. In the game, there are many kinds of transformations into monsters for which you can play, each of which has two unique types of attack, and also there is a bunch of different weapons purchased in the demonic shop, starting with the pistols ending with the donkey's head. The complexity in the game is pretty hardcore, the slightest mistake can lead to your death, but you can revive your transformations thanks to falling crystals from the enemies, so play with the mind. Summing up, I want to say that although I'm not a fan of roguelike, but I liked this game. =============== Hellmut: The Badass from Hell это игра в жанре rogulike, которая радует кучей драйва, экшена, заводной музыкой и щепоткой черного юмора. В игре множество видов трансформаций в монстров за которых вы можете играть, каждая из которых имеет два уникальных типа атаки, а также в игре присутствует куча различного оружия покупаемого в демоническом магазине, начиная от пистолетов заканчивая головой осла. Сложность в игре довольно хардкорная, малейшая ошибка может привести к вашей смерти, но вы можете возрождать свои трансформации благодаря падающим с врагов кристаллам, по-этому играть нужно с умом. Подытожив хочу сказать, что хоть я и не фанат данного игрового жанра, но игра мне понравилась.

It'll go one of two ways: you'll like it or you won't. Keeping with the K.I.S.S. model sworn by oath of my hellish disposition, the synopsis and general atmosphere outside of the game will determine whether Hellmut is right for you. Do you like DOOM? You'll like Hellmut. Do you like Life is Strange? Hellmut probably won't be your thing. Anything more than the basic pleasures of demonic genocide would be like asking for dessert after dessert—keep it simple, stupid. Hellmut does. More skulls and spikes than my old denim jacket. Everything about this game makes me want to listen to Cannibal Corpse (not that that's unusual). Gameplay is fast and hectic, very challenging. Have not made it very far (yet) but I'm excited to see what other kinds of baddies are waiting around the next corner.
