Great game loop felt weird till you hit breakpoints then the game really takes off. Enjoyable and fun to play /10
gostei! o jogo é divertido. já comecei alguns roguelikes e larguei e esse aqui gostei bastante a ponto de querer terminar. recomendo 7/10.
(Played on Veteran) Several hours in and towards the end of Act 3, I think I'm done. I was drawn in by the promise of a single-player focused ARPG and there were some stretches where it felt like it was delivering something great. Sadly two major things ended up really interfering with my enjoyment. The first issue is that balance goes right out the window very early in. The amount of total power you can permanently gain in a failed run is enormous, making your subsequent run begin with a honeymoon period where you can see just how strong you've gotten, but quickly fades to tedium when you realize you are now so powerful that there is no challenge. Between acts, this dynamic will swing back and forth, inflating the health and damage of enemies to keep you on your toes but inevitably enough failed runs gathering your strength will super-charge your damage until you are unstoppable. The 2nd pain-point for me is that a major part of what makes ARPGS enjoyable is the loot chase. Yeah, Hellclock has loot, and there is something that could be called a loot-chase but most of the really good "loot" on offer can be simply purchased from a shop before departing on your run. Additionally, the loot that can be exciting isn't for long as you will easily come to find four or five copies of every single 'Artifact' in the game with slightly different stat distributions. I enjoyed Hellclock enough, but it isn't the kind of game that will hold me for as long as it has content to play; especially considering a paid expansion exists. However, I do think this game could be an absolute hit for the right person, so if you enjoy ARPGs no matter the size, this little one delivers some great action and build-crafting despite it's obscene balance issues. I may even get the itch to give it another try somewhere down the line.
This game is great. If you like to tinker and experiment with builds and mechanics, and you like full-screen explosions, loot and crafting - this game is for you! 100% worth the 20 euros. It is lovely, and it's different and fresh compared to most ARPG's nowadays.
Negative Reviews are from early release and early DLC release. The developers worked nonstop to fix issues after the initial release, and playing after the updates proved to be so much better. Just wait a bit for them to work out the kinks because they 100% will improve the bugs. It is a really addicting title. Has it's issues but it's full of content and Brazilian history.
TOP 10 MELHORES JOGOS QUE JÁ JOGUEI
top!
educational/historical story woven into a dark fantasy; builds are decent and fun although they get very complex and hard to keep track of due to how the relic system is currently implemented
One of the best games I've played
