Amazing game, quite unlike any other I've played, feels almost like a single player version of a resource-management board game like Catan. It's turn based and you can play it at your own pace, so I've found it particularly good for playing on the Deck while distracted with other stuff.
haven't even beaten it yet, but i recommend if you like strategy.

Very good progression, extensive content, a sense of exploration, well balanced, good difficulty.
One of the best indie games I've played this decade I can't think of another game with so much *varied* replayability where your experience is different every time. The solo dev is top tier. Constantly working on balancing, bugs, and new content, and very active with their community.
Stress simulator. Great game, but probably not for everyone
I think they should remove stunned/etc from the game or add something so you have at least one pip not stunned/sick/etc. It's a bit much. I found the game more stressful than difficult. I also think the game might just be too balanced towards the fans / serious players. I'll come back to this and update the review after. I am a fan of Against the Storm; but this just felt a bit too heavy on the luck and you often just aren't in control at all anymore. I do wish rounds were a bit quicker.
I really want to like this game and has a cozy concept coupled with a deep strategy game, unfortunately it is very triggering and unfun at the late game. Early game to mid game is fun when you're solving problems. After 5-10 hours to get to late game, you have to prepare for everything preemptively otherwise there is no chance you survive. You need to always be producing the hope/health/heat all game, not once the bad event shows up because at that point its too late. I just lost a run because I got an unavoidable random event that makes 10 of my workers "mourning" and the only way to fix that is to bring flowers to the burial ground. I was in the end-game apocalypse final stretch and there is no way for me to get flowers, and I didn't need any all game (I was playing dwarfs so its even harder to get flowers). At this point its a death sentence because I lost 25% of my workforce, my important pips are no longer working, and I don't have the time to retrain the important roles. I was cruising all game once I got everything set up and just died due to a random event. It feels too random sometimes where it can just nuke your game that you spend 10 hours playing and thought you already won.
I love this game, great on steam deck
