Entirely revolves around randomly getting the right beneficial effects (mutations) and randomly avoiding the most detrimental ones (that usually mean instant death). You can apply a tiny bit of strategy once you have a couple of beneficial ones, but there's not much point to it really. I suppose it's a realistic simulation of a tree in that you live and die entirely on the whims of the weather and you have almost no control over it.
muito promissor
fat tree 👍
Great game, Just hate having a nice tree then getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because it rains all year while going back and forth with floods every few days.
Great potential but incredibly laggy.
i really enjoy this game, but it may not be for everyone you will probability lose 70% of the trees you grow especially on the harder difficulty's. but i find its more of a game to unwind with then to test prowess, just steady growth and the next immediate challenge to be overcome, without fast pace or demanding choices. branch out collect as many traits as you can, and if you fail that's fine you can just start again or come back when you want its a very peaceful experience in that way. it has a demo to see if you'd enjoy it, if anything above interests you then i can say its worth your time if only for a while.
surprised i didnt review this sooner, good game, funny narration, relaxing!
Very weird indie game 🔆
I love this implementation of hexagonal grid! Neighboring hexes are joined into a solid region with smoothing on the edges (!) and that is used to cut out a portion of a larger continuously tiling texture which prevents ugly tile repetition - very nice! I was feeling smart when I did this for classic orthogonal grid in Godot, but it turns out cool kids are doing it on the hex grid 😎 Leaves, flowers, and even parasites have dynamic shader applied to them creating an interesting minimalist illusion of movement. Even though the base textures used are of questionable quality (some might even say ugly), they're presented in a smart way on a technical level. The interface is cryptic and mildly infuriating with slow animation (can be improved a little in cryptic settings, dafuq is dat even :D). The numbers of used and collected water are essential yet not displayed permanently, one needs to constantly hover over the water bubble and other succ. Regardless, I like this game for it's cool hex grid and general weirdness to a point I bought it but there's a demo so have a look and you'll quickly know whether yay or nah.
Heliotropism is a roguelike Tree simulator with far more depth than it has at first glance Worth a buy!
Hard and confusing, yet oddly rewading.
