Heebie Jeebies: The Roller Coaster

However, if you're a VR coaster fan and enjoy most of them, then I can recommend this game for you, especially at the current sale price of only .49 cents. It's a 14 minute long roller coaster. It's got cheesy jump scares. The ride goes very slow at times, and it does go pretty fast at other times. Towards the end you'll be flipping around so if you can't handle twists and turns, you may get motion sickness. You should know that the visuals, sounds, & animations are very basic. However, the dev does a pretty good job of putting the ride together. This ride does have something different. You have to hold on to it until the very end. If you don't, you lose. I like this novelty and I don't understand why it hasn't become a normal part of every VR roller coaster ride. It works really well. I enjoyed the overall pacing of this ride. I enjoyed the twists and turns. I enjoyed all the corny scares. Game is running on the Unity engine. On my RTX 3080, it was mostly running at 90 fps, although I did have some frame rate drops so this game isn't optimized very well considering the graphics are dated. You can play this game seated, although I was too low to the ground at the main menu. Also, I have to quickly grab on to the coaster at the start or it'll show as letting go and losing. This was so scary I couldn't even complete it. I tried a few times but those jump scares and tension just gets me every time, can't wait to give this to my friends to try. And I'll definitely try to finish it later when it's daytime

I long for the day we get a fully fleshed out horror Roller Coaster experience on PC, just like the amazing 'Rush of Blood' on PSVR. This game offer's nothing ground breaking or new and you will probably only play it once. Hopefully Part 2 will be a much better and unique experience.

Heebie Jeebies is a short VR experience. It was a mixed bag for me, but I honestly can't recommend this game over more polished games at a similar price point. I don't get motion sick easily, but I would warn that if you have weak VR legs, this game might not be for you. I found the choppy movement of the coaster really distracting and it made it hard for me to immerse myself fully. I was expecting worse, and I'll admit there were a fair few jumpscares that got me. I don't wanna spoil too much for people who are considering buying this, but there is one moment where a creature slowly crawls up to you as you have to sit and helplessly watch as it draw closer. It was a good buildup, but the jumpscare itself was kind of disappointing. Overall, the lack of polish is kind of a deal-breaker for me. The sound could definitely have been given some reverb of sorts to add to the atmosphere, and one of my least favorite features was the fact that you need to hold on to the front handles at all times. In theory, this would force you to stay up in your seat, but because you don't need to keep your hands near the handles, I found myself sitting further back out of fear with my hands holding down the grab triggers. If there were a better system to deal with it, or more importantly a more forgiving deterrent from letting go, this wouldn't be an issue. Visually, I would say this game looks okay. It's nothing special, but the lighting does a good enough job at selling the environment. My biggest complaint is the grass, which seems to float while far away and snap to the ground when you approach it. The optimization wasn't anything to write home about, but since you spend most of the experience just moving your head, the in-headset smoothing makes sure things run at a cool 90 FPS at all times, even on my lower-end PC (in terms of VR readiness). Right now, there is only one experience for this game, so content-wise the game is pretty bare right now. If you're on the fence about buying it, I would wait until more content is added. Overall, I rate this game a 5.5/10. It's a rough, unfinished game, but it sure as hell got me.

Nice game. Good combination of horror and roller coaster. Also some new ideas like the must of holding tight the security rod during the journey.

I couldn't finish it. Not because it was scary, but because it was so boring and slow.
