Hardspace: Shipbreaker

Hardspace: Shipbreaker

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game is almost ok, but tends to be boring and physically exhausting. Yeah, you read it right. Moving, grappling and cutting is a pain, and you'll feel physically tired of having to correct every inch of movement. It's not like piloting a ship with Newtonian physics; it's way worse! Add this to the same visuals over and over, with pita NPCs whose stories and dialogues you can't skip, and there you go: an ok game at most, with an already known problem: the good ideas met a poor execution. This is MY OPINION, not the Almighty Truth.
While the core of this game is solid, it's ruined by the career mode dialogue scenes. Please give the option for a progressive playthrough without the career story elements.
I love this game so much, and I keep coming back to it over and over. It's a fantastic game to 'get in the zone' and just take apart ships. I constantly re-play the game, trying new strategies, or working to get the elusive 100% salvage. I can't wait to see what's next for this. Performance is very good on my older hardware.
"Well, at least nothing's blown up yet" —Every shipbreaker ever right before accidentally igniting the ship's main fuel supply and/or causing a catastrophic reactor meltdown, instantly turning a large portion of the ship into a cloud of metal shards and mangled machinery Great game
Cool idea, great music, but later on the game starts feeling less and less "fun" and way too much of a chore. As the ships become bigger and bigger the tools you're given are no longer sufficient. So you need to use other tools, which are slow or unwieldy. I suppose this might be part of the difficulty curve, but it feels a lot less satisfying. The game also has a tendency to force "poo-storm cascades" onto the player. I.e. do one thing wrong and you might have a whole plethora of things soon going wrong too. One such key element is safe depressurizsation of ships, which shout be possible in "lore theory", but is impossible in practice. Fail to depressurize the ship correctly, and you migt end up flinging something explosive where it's not supposed to go. Now I don't mind if ships are meant to be a sort of "puzzle" to process. But even here it feels weirdly inconsistent. Sometimes ships will have clear hardpoints you can melt away to separate ship parts. Other times you need to manually cut via lines (which is somewhat "fiddly"). In the past (perhaps that has been fixed) I've had ships where large sections of the hull were held together.. by a single lamp. Except that single lamp wasn't really indicated to be a structural hardpoint, and was just... a lamp... perfectly holding together two heavy pieces - unrealistic and nonsensical. Ultimately it's a game that's easy to get into, but very difficult to actually finish purely because it becomes an actual chore, rather than a fun game.
Cool gameplay, but devs ignoring a simple request from players to add dialogs skip option for years is unacceptable. Made me hate the game's storyline after the first two 5 minutes of the voices mumbling
My #1 album for the year was this game’s OST. It’s actually genius how good it is
it's propaganda. very preachy and no you cannot skip the dialogue or cutscenes. The game stands on it's own without the ham-fisted anti capitalist message. In addition to all this the corporation offers you a job that lets you pay pay off your multimillion dollar dept in a few months and yet they are the bad guys. ok. So look even if you like the preachy stuff in the game it really does need a skip button or a way to just turn off the story completely.
