Yes, the game is obviously a port, as the controls are janky in a way that could easily be fixed, if the company wasn’t so cheap. That being said, the game is still playable, and most importantly, IMHO, THE VISUALS ARE M***********g GORGEOUS. That alone made it worth the (on sale) price for me. * The smooth locomotion is controller direction only. No option for headset directed, which is super annoying. Especially when using a VR treadmill. * Fighting physics consists of haphazardly whipping your golfclub/sword in front of you until enemies succumb. * The acting and writing are top notch, and very adult. * The visuals are stellar eye candy, and the park is a blast to be inside. * The story is creative, clever, and engaging to the end. Just when you think you’ve beaten the big boss and the game is over, you discover it’s not, and goes on for another couple chapters. SUMMARY: Though the developers did the very minimum to port this game, resulting in pretty mediocre combat physical and controls, But the game story is so fun and unexpected, and the visuals are so beautiful, it more than made up for the problems. If atmosphere is key, you’ll be happy.
(This is entirely my own opinion and contains spoilers) I see potential, there is some serious tallent behind the visuals of this game. it looks absolutely beautiful! it does feel like on old abandoned theme park and the golf is fairly fun. sadly this is where my praise for the game comes to an end. the controls feel very clunky and there's barely any settings to counteract this. the buttons feel very weird like example instead of pulling the trigger like any other game to simply grab something, you instead have to press B on your vr conrtoller to grab things. It advertises itself as a "comedy" but literaly nothing made me laugh. Surprisingly there's "combat" in this game and its there worst I've ever seen for a vr game. The golf club you use throughout the game is weightless so it doesn't feel impactful at all and its piss easy to kill the robots in the game. You just got to lazily swing the golf club (or toy sword I don't see any difference in damage between the two so that's pointless) really fast and it kills them in about 200 hits or so. (Overexadurating yes but that's sure as hell what it feels like) their death and damage sounds are super annoying and ear piercing too! Sure you may "die" but I'll get into why its so easy in a bit. There's items that you can get and interact with in the game that feels pointless to even get. the flashlight does what it normally does but most if not the entire park is lit up enough that having a flashlight is effectivly pointless. There's also a camera that you can find and use periodically to stun enemies for a few seconds with but because the "combat" is so easy, there's no point to even grab it. Now for one of the biggest flaws I have. Death has no meaning, what I mean by that is, normally when you die you respawn at a save point right? Well in this game you just see "you died" but then the screen goes away and you are at the exact spot where you supposedly died. you could hear enemies still and you can still attack them. So you are pretty much immortal and all you get is a spooky GAME OVER screen for a few seconds then it goes away! No repercussions whatsoever! the second biggest flaw to me is the hillbilly guy you talk to throughout a huge chunk of the game. He's the obvious exposition dumper and JUST WONT SHUT UP. He talks way too much for way too long and if it's supposed to be funny in a way, it's not at all. I normally try and be as fair as possible when I review a game and this is as fair as I can be. I can see that the devs are talented and I'm sure one day they can make a good game. But sadly this one was a stinker. 2/10 overall
Had an absolute blast with this game. It mixes theme park horror with adult thrills perfectly. It’s less spooky horror and more a comedy horror, and honestly one of the best VR experiences I’ve had. Ps, Pirate boat ride was the Best,

The ThemePark of Nightmares. Full of bugs and random VR stuff that makes no sense but its beautiful to look at and fun game to play Some fun rides to jump on just the fighting mechanics are blah. It needs alot of updates to make this game really good but for what it is its worth a laugh
i will not refund the game, because you see how much love the devs put into it..It looks amazing and has a great atmosphere.. At the moment i cant recomend the game because it need some fixes.. Please remove the compas on the ground it breaks immersion, also make the hands shorter(hands only) Also if you push now the triggers you start to move thats very anoying.. Grabbing is also a hit and miss and alot off clipping through objects.. But wow the park realy got a amazing feeling to it.. If they can fix those things i realy realy can recommend the game.now i cant yet..
Hey developer of happyfunland I reckon you should add it to the quest for everyone to play 😎😎😎
I didn't read the steam description fully and thought this was gonna be a horror game. So you can imagine my surprise when what I got instead is an acid trip filled with dark humor and gags about the founder being "frozen somewhere in the park" Walt Disney style. I don't think the game is meant to be taken seriously and with that in mind, gameplay is enjoyable. I like spam hitting enemies with my hockey stick until their head pops, they ragdoll and explode two times. I like being randomly attacked by a squirrel with a needle and being sent to the bathroom tunnels. I even liked almost falling over on one of the rides lol. I've only played for like an hour and for what I've seen for now, I can already tell I'm gonna go back to this game.

Rank: 𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙉𝙏 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙄𝘾 This is by far the most interesting mix of art, storytelling and surprises. It reminds me a little of Robert Armstrong's Mickey Rat which is a good thing. Graphics: 𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙄𝙉𝙂 By far the best I have seen since Half Life Alyx based solely upon originality. Gameplay: 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿 Simple but great puzzles keep the pace going, insane rides that you can actually ride that made me a little sick - the only time this has ever happened in VR. Again this is a good thing!! Controls: 𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙍𝙄𝘽𝙇𝙀 (BUT FIXABLE) In all honesty, within the first 20 minutes, I almost stopped and requested a refund until I discovered that someone created a proper control profile for this game. It helps out tremendously, however since the physics are not good, if you drop something it can be very frustrating trying to pick something up from the ground.
