Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Howl is a turn-based puzzle/tactical folktale set in the Middle Ages, where a mysterious "howling plague" ravages the land. Any who hear the beasts’ howls turn into feral, hungering beasts themselves – further spreading the curse through their own howls. The Heroine of this tale was born deaf, giving her a unique protection against this curse.
Play as a daring combat Prophet with the ability to foretell your enemies’ moves. Plan up to six steps ahead to outmaneuver your enemies. Fire a variety of arrows, such as exploding, lightning, or piercing shots, and use skills like Smoke Bombs and Shadow Step’s Invisibility to kill any beasts who stand in your way. Each type of beast offers its own challenges, with some approaching fast, while others taking more powerful hits or attacking from afar.
Howl's visuals are created through "living ink", a flowing art style that paints the story as you play. Carve your way through a dark, fairy-tale world made up of obscure yet magical places where you fight to rid the lands of the howling plague.
Howl features a total of 5 chapters, including the free Heart of Rot update, each with a distinct visual atmosphere scored by soothing music.
Embark on this side-story to the Capital, a city that long stood as a bastion of hope in a world overrun by howling beasts. The Prophet has heard rumors that the alchemists there have found a cure for the Howl. When she arrives, she finds a city consumed by rot ...
Access to this update is FREE for anyone who has bought the Howl base game. You can access this update chapter from the Chapter 3 map at any point after reaching Chapter 3 of the main story. Heart of Rot follows its own storyline, and can be completed either before or after the main Howl story.
This update features its own chapter map, new enemies, a new boss level, new environment mechanics, the new Lightning Shot skill (which, once unlocked, can be used in the main game!), and an NPC who fights by your side in later levels.
You only need the base game to play the Heart of Rot chapter!
Foretell the actions of your enemies in turn-based puzzle/tactics combat.
Play through 60 levels across 4 chapters, plus 18 new levels in the free update chapter!
Beautifully illustrated in a unique, living ink art style.
Outsmart the different wolf species, from fast predators to enormous pack leaders.
Unlock and upgrade new skills like Shadow Step, Exploding Shot, and more.
Save villagers from the claws – and howls – of the wolves.
Plot your route on the world map to uncover new skills and secret paths.

Cute tactical/puzzle game with some interesting (but basic) mechanics. A good snack for a few hours, but that's it. The 100% completion challenge is the only thing stopping us from making it even faster - but it's also not that appealing. There's not really any story or anything else to keep you going.
a short but sweet puzzle game with incredible atmosphere and style. i have played this game twice (once on switch before the content update and now on my laptop after the update) and i fell in love with it for the time i spent playing it. the story isn't super deep, but there's clearly a lot of heart and effort put into this game :) most of the levels are rather simple, but get rather challenging if you're trying to complete it within a certain turn order or saving everyone. it won't be to everyone's taste, but i personally got addicted for the week i spent 100%ing the game. be warned if you're trying to 100% the game/get all achievements - the achievements for finishing chapter 3 and 4 are broken after the recent content update. the achievement for chapter 3 won't trigger until AFTER you've completed the bonus chapter and redo the final level, and the achievement for completing chapter 4 will not show up at all no matter what you do.

This is a solid little puzzle game with a really nice and distinctive visual style. It provides enjoyable problem-solving without veering too egregiously into sheer trial-and-error, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. There's not much to the story, it could have done a better job of explaining its enemy mechanics, and it probably doesn't have much if any replay value, but it was definitely worth the five bucks I paid for it.
Fun puzzle game. Doesn't overstay it's welcome or depth, which is nice. The final rot monster in the (optional) town section felt impossible, but I guess I might be missing something. Played through on Steamdeck and although mostly fine it did randomly crash during two different levels.
Fun puzzler with a nice art style and music. You can fully complete the game and all achievements in under 10 hours. By the end, that felt like a good length for this one. Give it a try.
After two hours of playing I feel pretty done with the game, on one hand I enjoy how basic and simple it is but on the other hand it gets repetitive fast. I have a lot of content left but I'm just not hooked enough to continue. The art is great and the actual turndesign is awesome, there is logic to all the movement which makes it possible to plan ahead. You can choose to either play it with assist-mode (easier because it gives you all the info for free) or to figure out how enemies will move by yourself. If you make a mistake and die you can just restart, the game is fast and doesn't waste your time. For me the two hours I spent in the game was alright but frankly the game was not worth my time.
