Well, although I'm very late to play Hanaby games, that means I can taste them all together like a whole trilogy! And Hanaby the Witch looks like a fine direct sequel. Good nuts: - Hanaby and other characters are still very cute - Collectables are now displayed on level select - More fireworks and more ammo means more fun - A bit more interesting story about the conflict between mages - Levels are a bit larger with more collectables and secrets - AAAA's music is not only adorable and toony, but also very epic and brutal, especially on the final boss - You can become Hanaby Lover <3 Not very good nuts: - No more creative inn rooms on level select - Shops are still demanding to justify the same unrewarding NG+ - Card puzzles on Level 2 are unnecessary hard (I still have no idea how to solve them) - The final boss is just too trivial with his few easily dodgeable attacks - The game itself is still not long, and you can speedrun it even a minite or two faster than the first game - Hanaby doesn't actually become a witch, her lack of magic is what drives the story Overall, this game is a little better than the previous one in just about everything. More emotions, more action, more fun. It's still a casual platformer with pretty fireworks, but with a bit of a deeper story and more epic music. And you only have to beat it 5 times to get all achievements - becoming a Hanaby Lover is an easier task now!
